Missing some context here It was another DNF in a horrendous McLaren, due to overheating Kimi already signed with Ferrari, and was seeing out the rest of the season So he didn’t bother coming to paddock for debrief and went straight to his boat, to join his buddies who “drunk their weight in champagne and beer”

It happened to Riccardo when he tried a return to renault before getting a seat at the second red bull team at the last second. The way he called out teams in interviews pretty much had assured he wasn’t going to race for any of them

In the early days Kimi was a bit camera-shy, Finnish impressionists made fun of the fact the he basically answered "eh... I dunno" to all questions, even in the Finnish media. He did improve to the point of actually answering the questions pretty fast though.

I get annoyed because too many people focus on the personality. I know between 2003-7 he was by far the fastest driver & the only one EVER to be so whilst being laser sharp & unbelievably fair. There is no-one around who is very much all those things All the time. Social media only focuses on self made memes. To him it’s just normal talk-which media present in isolation -it’s funny yet honest- why he is so liked. Maybe his unique & direct approach is what made him so naturally quick.No-one to this day can overtake as cleanly and creatively as Kimi. Ive been watching all forms of racing about 50years. He’s poetry in motion on track.

One of my favourite Kimi moments was back in the Malaysian GP 2009. The race was red flagged due to heavy rain, Kimi gets out if his racing suit and heads to Ferrari hospitality and gets some ice cream lol. Other drivers were waiting in their car/garage, Kimi couldn't give a shit

There was such a huge contrast between Raikkonen, and Vettel during interviews, because Sebastian was new to F1, so he had the excitement and enthusiasm that you would expect to see from a race winner, while Kimi sounded like he could drive around the track in his sleep! "Well, the race was okay. The car performed very well, and we are happy with the season, so far."

True story: I installed/programmed/integrated a light management/control system at his house in Baar, Switzerland. I thought I was all by myself when Kimi showed up out of nowhere and asked me if I want to have a coffee. I said thank you, maybe later and he said no, later he would be gone. So it was him making the coffee and not the maid and we had it on the terrasse of the topfloor with a very nice view - an absolute silence.

In Finland they dont use articles at all. That helps in shortening the sentences 🤪👍

I like when he talks about people in Finland being different. I've been living in Finland for over 10 years now have met various different types of Finns. Of course there is always some stereotype taking place (as it does in all cultures and countries), but I learned that a lot of Finns do not like to be put in a "bowl" of being all the same or even responsible for the way others of his peers behave. I think Kimi is one of these people, he always wanted to make sure in his personal behavior and personal life that he only represents himself.
