Kimonos and Trains: the perfect combination for a day's visit to the Arashiyama area of Kyoto. In this episode we visit the Kimono Forest, a permanent art installation at Randen Tram Station and go sightseeing through the Hozukyo ravine on the Sagano Romantic Train. Many visitors to the area wear Kimonos, creating a harmony of people and place. And there are many other experiences to be enjoyed here some as simple as a statue that reminds us of the importance of scholarship and agriculture. And of course the fascination with trains in Japan, which offers visitors many opportunities to share in this pastime.
