This is my friend's second Kindle. kzitem.infoUgkxOnUR4NaproSbBbD2sdI4XcDZ58Jz8GOx The first one which is about 5 or 6 years old quit charging because the bottom connector went bad. When I saw they upgraded to a USB C connector I knew it was time. I think the old USB Micro connectors are a PIA. Her new one is great. It synced right out of the box and connected to WiFi immediately. The thing is perfect! Sooo mine will arrive tomorrow. (Been reading off an old Fire) What bugs me are the reviewers that give this product one star because it didn't work out of the box or they were too dumb to figure it out. If it doesn't work send it back and get another one. It couldn't be easier with Amazon. Giving it one star because it didn't work says nothing about a good one that does work. I bet a bad one is one in a thousand or more. Give it a break...just get another one.

Great review and comparison. I love my 10th gen’s performance and have had no real concerns. My interest was piqued when I saw that the 11th gen is on sale as of this writing, but the list of features the latter offers over the former just isn’t enough to pull the trigger. Instead, I’ll wait to see what the 12th gen++ brings. Thanks again!

My 10th generation doesn't have any issues as well but I've been seeing the 11th gen a lot on social media which piqued my interest-- though I'll have to agree on waiting for the 12th gen ‼️

@@gabriellejaritorresrielle682 How is it like to read on a 10th generation Kindle at night with lights off ? Does it put strain on eyes like mobile phones do or it feels comfortable? Since I have heard that it has no warm light display.

Thanks for the review. I have the 10th and was thinking of upgrading but I think I’ll wait until the 12th gen. I don’t mind the Micro-USB because I charge it so infrequently. The warmth display seems interesting though. I was hoping that the speed was noticeably quicker but alas it’s still not exactly zippy. Thanks again for the terrific review.

Hmmm, I may upgrade to the 11 gen just because of the warmth feature. I get too many migraines as it is. Update: I did it and I now use my paper white more than my oasis. I love it!!!

I'd honestly still pick the 10th gen if only it has a higher storage option. I just find the 11th gen bigger than what I prefer since I have a 7" tablet already.

Hi, where I live it's very difficult to find a second hand kindle that is affordable. So I have no choice but to buy the older 10 gen Paperwhite. I have a few questions, since it is old, is it still possible to transfer PDFs to the kindle? Are there flaws that you can find with the device? Does the screen size bother you??

As of right now in March 2024 the 11th gen Paperwhite is still the 'newest' available from Amazon, I'm hesitant and waiting to see if they release new models for 2024 as it seems about time for a refresh. They discontinued the Oasis and only have screen sizes of 6.8 inches or 10.2 inches (scribe) leading me to believe they're working on an 'in between' size around 8 inches or so which is what I'm hoping for!

I hope the next gen is all the current features but in the foot print of the smaller one. The over all screen size would be comparable if they made the bezels smaller. I have the 12th gen & love it, but I have small hands so despite it being compact it can still feel a little big. Love the warm light though, I use it every time I read in low light (basically daily).

I wanted an e reader to have 6 - 10 weeks of charge last if I even read a book for 8 hours but kindle charge will last maybe upto 3 days with the calculation. Better be reading on my iphone then or buy an ipad instead. Thanks for the info. I can't believe how these corporations hide these info under small details which you need microscope to see.
