Kim Jung Hyun really put the whole spectrum of emotions in this one little word, bless. Love the progression from cold to loving in particular. 🥰

I bet Kim Jung Hyun will greatly missed caling Shin Hye Sun like this after the drama finished. She's the only person deserves to be called that by him.

My absolute favourite one at 2:08 - it was right after the queen realised the king voluntarily risked his life to expose and rid of the corrupted officials. It’s a short one but I love how his emotion was richly presented in just two words, realising how the queen sincerely cared for him. That scene is so beautiful 😭😭

It's quite endearing how as the video progresses, his tone changes from indifference to loving. 😩💕

I think "My Queen" is nae jungjeon not only jungjeon.. Because in ep 8, cheoljong called sobong "nae jungjeon (my queen)" and sobong questioned it for the first time. Cheoljong been calling her 'jungjeon' since ep 1 but she only questioned it on ep 8 (3:20-3:30 time duration) when cheoljong called her "nae jungjeon" (not only jungjeon, but there's nae... and nae means "my") But it's not really a big deal... I'm just wondering if the translation of my queen in korean is only "jungjeon" or it is "nae jungjeon"

Jungjeon just means queen. The translation to "my queen" was just to make the term jungjeon in context more culturally relatable to an English-speaking audience. Also, I may be wrong, but I feel like he sometimes adds a "-nim" at the end of jungjeon. Like I said, I may be (and probably am) wrong, but on the slight occasion that I may be correct, that would make a more respectful translation even more comprehensible.

Question. New to the kdrama scene here and obviously not Korean. Why does the king call her Jung Jeon (queen) while others call her Mama(also queen)? Is it a term of endearment? Or is it only something the king can call her and others can’t?

I'm not korean but this is what i've learned so far.. Mama is translated as your highness. The servants address this to the royalties who are women especially queens. Jun jeon is translated as my queen so the king is the only one who can say this cuz she's his wife.

Her full title should be "Jung jeon mama", or "the lady who stays in the Central Pavillion". The word jungjeon actually refers to the part of the palace that she stays in. This was quite common during that time. If you watch other dramas, you will realise that the Crown Prince is often refer to as Donggung, or the East Palace cos that's where he stays also. I am not Korean but in Vietnam, we have similar practice during ancient time as well.
