5:51 starts the lead, 6:08 is the greatest lead break within a lead that man has created. Dude comes in like a wrecking ball.

Great reaction and wonderful commentary.....you have a great ear! I remember when I first bought this cassette in early '89....I said the exact same words as you about the musicianship and the idea of horror concept albums. King's voice is both disturbing and enthralling all at once....I love it! Speaking of voices, you have a very nice radio voice and you articulate your thoughts better than most. Keep it up, I'll be watching. 🤘

Yes! My favorite track on the album, & 2nd favorite all-time King track. Everyone is on a murder spree, w/Andy & Pete totally OFF! And that trade-off soon they did? Bro!!!

Granny just returned home from the insane asylum. She has returned to her room, where she's tormented by "Them". It's a concept album, so the story unfolds with each track. A very dark story, indeed

"Tormented" might not be the right word. Grandma is a witch, communing with the spirits of other dead witches.

Peachy, awesome, cool.. what ever. I prefer a saying that Lemmy used on and off, and that's "Top Notch". Never the less, to the song, I think missy is in a bad place and unless things change in the telling of this story, and Grandma is exorcized from that which is unseen. But if this album follows the first one we heard, the end can be predicted. (having said that, I don't remember the outcome of the other album. Sush is my brain, it filters out all the wrong bit). Stroy aside, this is a musical masterpiece, I can't get enough of the vintage metal style guitar solos. Very much from the era I love the most, the music, and memories of the time were painless pleasure. I totally agree with what you said about listening to the music without vocals for a good long while. I think the drummer needs a shout out too, he/she is all there when skill and style come into it. Loving it. Good work Randi. Catch you soon. TTFN.

King Diamond’s albums are concept horror stories and this song is from the album “Them”. Its interesting, impactful and genuinely scary. I It’s about some malignant spirits tormenting a family and the and started with grandma

Hello Always LOVE your reactions with KD :) !! I will mean that the time has come to make a reaction with his first band "Mercyful Fate" ..... What about " Satans fall" ? Just a note : The first album from KD "Fatail Portrait" is the best because of the intense and rich atmosphere. Later on the albums gets a little "light" but actually he still improves his vocal to higher and higher levels. Stay healthy and stay thursty !

What's wrong with grandma indeed... As @Evil Erv Cowart said below, you will find out soon enough. You honestly always do a great job of hearing the music as well as following the story, so just enjoy! When this album is done, I look forward to finding out if you like this or Abigail better -- from a musical and story perspective. Meanwhile, I'm glad you're still enjoying this album, and I noticed that this was one of the first times you didn't mention King's voice taking you by surprise. I dare say that you are really getting used to his vocals, and I look forward to recommending the rest of it as we go along. Thanks Randi!!

I almost paused to mention something about his vocals but didn't want to interrupt, and by the time that I did pause there were other things that edged that thought out. He still surprised me a bit (although not as much). 😊
