@@402grizz I was around in the 90s when Nebraska lost every game against the Longhorns except for the 12/4/99 game, which was the first time in 26 years that Nebraska won against Texas. It also ended up being the last time Nebraska won against Texas. It's not much of a "rivalry" when one of the teams wins one game in 50 years.

I like this episode for it being a Hank and Bobby bonding episode. Outside of the final episode, in which they were finally grilling together, they bonded on their love of football. I also love how Bobby was invested in it so much that he even felt like he wanted to die, just like Hank. And in the end, he asks to go to more games, which would put a smile on every football loving dad’s face.

What #70 for Texas did was probably inspired by Leon Lett's blunder during the 1993 Thanksgiving game between the Cowboys, Lett's team, and the Dolphins, who won the game after that blunder with a game-winning field goal. Weirdly enough, this involved another Texas team being a victim of a blunder except the Cowboys got the last laugh with winning the Super Bowl that year.

let's just say this was a instant karma moment for Hank and The Longhorns as Hank was trying to screw the Cornhuskers over but instead the football gods got Hank and the Horns back for that play. in real life, if Hank did this in Austin at Royal Stadium, he would be the most wanted man in the Texas State capital.

This is a classic play that happened in a Cowboys game. On Thanksgiving. In the snow. Leon Lett, anyone? The Dolphins got another field goal attempt and won the game.

One time I watched them play against the Giants. Dude on Giants caught the ball, landed on his back, play was still alive somehow. He was surrounded, but the Cowboys around him made zero attempt to stop him as he calmly walked it into the end zone. Twas back in 12’ or 13’ I thinj
