Hello!
I’m back in the sewing room today.
In this video I’m making the King’s Crown Quilt Block. This block will measure 16.5 inches when pieced together and finish in your quilt project at 16 inches square.
You will need four coordinating fabrics. The block consists of squares and half-square triangles. I show you step by step how to construct the block. It’s a larger block than I usually make. One block is large enough to use as the front of a throw pillow.
I highly recommend sewing with scant 1/4” seam allowances. It helps insure that the block measures 16.5 inches when completed.
I do show you how to make the half-square triangle patches. If you have your own technique or have watched me make these before, just skip past. That’s the beauty of technology.
I use an 18.5” ruler to square up this block.
I really like how this block looks, and when placed together they form a beautiful pattern. They would be just great in many quilt projects.
