King's Lynn back in June 1991,Be nice to find more history videos on King's Lynn,Not much has really changed much over the years,Part from a lot of town shops got knocked and new shops got built,Other places been pulled down and other new places been built,I still living on the Fairstead estate then back in 1991 where I originally lived

Interesting video, but apart from the South Quay having now been gentrified not hugely indicative of the changes in Kings Lynn during the last 25 years. Would have been good to see the old shopping precinct and the High Street and Norfolk Street as they were then.

Wish we had a video of the '50's in Lynn. The Mill Fleet, Tan's corner shop next to the Brewery. Fun on the carpark with Marlene Bishop, Susan Hare, John & Syldena Smith. Missing Coronation Square and all the streets around All Saints Church.

I was born but not bred near here (St Germans) 5 miles down the road. I have lived in South Wales for 74 of my 75 years on this planet, and have never missed a year when I failed to come 'home' to Norfolk, until this blasted corona virus went and spoiled it all that is with the travel restrictions rightly imposed on us. However that does not stop me missing my bi annual visit to friends and family around the Kings lynn area, and some of my favourite pubs, the Wildfowler in Terrington St Clement, the Rose & Crown in Snettisham and the pub at Denver Sluice, you know the one - with the grumpiest owners ever! Anyhow I must go now for I need a pint of bear...

Before i continue i must add that liking your own post is like shaking your own hand in public. I have lived in King's Lynn all my life, and i can assure you there were more than a few immigrants ever since i can remember. If you would like me to pull up official figures, just say the word!

Do you send yourself a Christmas card? If you do then dont worry, and like away! Not one person living in Britain today would be able to trace their ancestry back to year dot and say they are 100% Brit, as we did not start out as an island! Therefore we need to start being a little more tolerant and a lot less hateful! If our country was as bad i am sure we would want to exactly the same, and EU citizens have every right to do so!
