He`s welcome to the title. The King of Rock `n` Roll thought the title a ridiculous and infantile idea and I agree with him.

There is a sharp dividing line between before and after Bill Haley, the man who started the rock revolution!." In 1954 Bill Haley and his Comets released “Rock around the Clock,” and it was the sound the young had been waiting for. It was the first record to have-all in one place-a lyric about all-night partying, a thrilling guitar solo, and a rock-solid beat, with its drums way up in the mix. What’s more, its success was on an international scale, and this is why it crossed a generational threshold, ushering in the rock ‘n’ roll era. "Shake, Rattle and Roll" by Bill Haley and The Comets became the first international rock and roll hit, # 7 on Billboard in 1954. See You Later Alligator" recorded in 1955, by Bill Haley laid the foundation of the" American Graffiti "(praise to innocence and the ambiguity of aseptic generation of" teenagers ", all home, school, coca-cola, motorcycle) and sold a million copies within a month.of release. The hip expression in the chorus "see you later alligator, after while crocodile", became a standard parting line among teenagers in 1956, and entered the national idiom.

Great video, however it is a bit off historically...Dick Richards and Marshall Lytle are interviewed(both original Comets), however all the footage is of England and Germany in 1957-1958(which Richards and Lytle were never on..by then they had left the group).
