How did you mom do it? I'm trying to be faithful to God but my wife's worldliness makes it hard. She loves the traditions of men (Halloween, Santa, Easter bunny) and I don't want any part of idolatry but I don't want to push her away as I'm to love my wife as Christ loved the church.
@John-wp7kl
2 жыл бұрын
@@jasonbryan3135 idolatry is idol worship. It's not sinful to have Easter bunnies or Santas in your home to be festive and have fun. It is only sinful if those things are being worshipped instead of God. Be very careful of legalism. I don't know if your wife is saved or not but if she's not, legalism isn't going to win her over. Loving someone doesn't mean you participate if you feel it would be sinful for you.
@jasonbryan3135
2 жыл бұрын
@@John-wp7kl I would have to disagree. Idolatry is anything that takes the place of God. What attributes is Santa given that children are led to believe? (He knows when you're sleeping and knows all you've done and will reward you with gifts.) How is he glorified in any of that? You lie to a child about that you give the child reason to not trust you in Godly matters because they now have reason to believe you are lying about God too. If you have Santa's image in your home and your child believes and asks him via a letter or goes to the mall and sits in his lap and asks for things you are participating in idolatry as you are literally putting up an idol for your child to worship in the hopes of getting gifts. Not mention you are lying to your child and the 9th commandment doesn't have loopholes in it. Lying is lying and we are not to use our freedom in Christ as a cloak of evil.
@TruckDriver2005
2 жыл бұрын
@@jasonbryan3135 I must respectfully disagree with you. In my opinion, families can do fun things with Santa, as long as the children know the truth. My dad, who's a Christian, used to take me to visit Santa every year. However, I knew he wasn't real it was all just pretend, and most kids like to play pretend. I have a daughter, and I raised her to know Santa's just pretend, and she liked seeing him every year. She preferred to stand and wave hello to him instead of sitting in his lap. She would occasionally tell him what she wanted for Christmas, but she knew none of her presents came from Santa.

I cannot describe the relief it has given me in my heart to hear these people talk in such a godly way. I feel so overwhelmed at times because very few people seem to value truth and what it is to give our lives over to Christ and to live for Him. Also to find a marriage partner who has godly and christian values and motives. To hear them talk like this has given me fresh hope that there are people who still value the authority of scripture and live a godly life.

You both have been the #1 most wonderful encouragers and Christian actors out of Hollywood that millions of people love to watch on TV and in the Theaters. I watched Growing Pains & Full House. I grew up with both of you. Now at 48 years old, I love to see that you do what you do. It says something when you both have long marriage's. When we take those vows, it says for better or worse. Most couples don't realize they are taking them before God, so therefore they do not care to give up and divorce. I was not raised that way at all. My husband and I have been married now for 22 years. We have 4 children. I cannot imagine divorcing my husband. We have had major issues in our marriage that has almost ripped us apart. No, we are not perfect, but we worked through our problems with Faith-based articles, worksheets, Scripture, & Prayer. We had an issue were we could only depend on Scripture & Prayer because there were no Biblical articles on the issue we faced at that time. Finally, Christian families are opening up to the very same issue we did originally 9 years ago.

I too took these vows seriously. In New Zealand we had a vaccine mandate for teachers. We studied and prayed about it, and had different convictions laid on our heart about it. I felt able to proceed, he did not. I would not act outside of his authority. So I had to leave my job. It has not been easy, but it has taught me how to take my problems to God first, to not blame and be resentful, and my husband has been able to prove to me that he can stand on his convictions alone, and that he loves me no matter if we think differently.

I am really working to teach my granddaughter about kindness to others. She is a lover of Christ. She is four years old and is soaking up everything. It's your kind of Godly examples in circumstances that are of the world and not focused on God (Hollywood) that help give some of us encouragement to stand firm in everyday life. Ever since I was diagnosed with scleroderma, MS, Lupus and many others almost died many times and I live I knew that was God saying I'm not done yet. Made two KZitem channels dedicated to help others. My kids haven't understood God and everything. I feel like when you go through something big it can bring you to God and make you a believer. So I go to church but I haven't figured out patients and not letting people get to me so I can stay calm. Stress makes my diseases worse and so I'm trying to control my stress stay with God. Watching you Candace and I have your Bible I try so hard to learn every day and focus. I feel kind of like the alien bc not many people believe in God anymore like they use to and believe in Christianity. I feel like so much selfishness and no values has happened. I want God back in the USA. In God we trust 💜

Around the 35:00 mark My mom was having a very uncomfortable medical procedure the other day. She'd been warned by her doctor and her sister that it was pretty bad. While my mom was waiting to be called back, I prayed that she would the Lord would give her a higher tolerance for what she was about to experience. When she got home, she told me that the test wasn't as unpleasant as she'd been told. It was as if her tolerance level was higher than she thought it would have been. I smiled and told her I'd prayed for that exact thing for her. The Lord most definitely heard that little prayer. It wasn't fancy, but it was heartfelt.

You two have been my favorite since I was a little kid and I'm about the same age!!! Thank you for being so brave to share your faith!!!!! I hugged Jesus in a dream and it was him. His characteristics, his ethnicity from the time he was born were identical! 😇 The world needs THAT hug!🙏

Awe! This is such a blessing to me today on my lunch break. I just love how humble Kirk and Candace are. I am certain that there are many men and women who are encouraged by their simplistic, yet beautiful witnesses. If ONLY the entertainment industry contained more Christians this world would be so much the better place! I can only IMAGINE what roles God has for these siblings in His Heavenly Kingdom! Wow! I look forward to discovering this myself ha ha Keep up the FANTASTIC WORK Kirk and Candace 🥰🥰👏🏻👏🏻

Such a blessing to see them together. So proud of them both and blessed they are a brother and sister in Christ Jesus. 😇 Candace's definition of joy is the most perfectly clear and practical that I've ever heard 🙏.

"...praying should never be a last resort, ever. It should be the start." That is so true. I wasn't sure if this would be one of those videos that would be more cute or too nice, but I'm so glad it was not like that. There is Biblical truth and encouragement in this and I'm so glad God put the right words on their hearts to share with all of us.
