Last year a clip of Paul Stanley flubbing his fake vocal part on DRC in Belgium went viral. They just played Belgium again and had another lip synch flub. Tommy gets out of synch with the click, the pre-recorded chorus backing vocals fire a beat too early, and the three guitarists are left a beat out from Eric for the rest of the song, leading to a confusing mess of sound. Going out on top huh? Thanks to Fonz Army member Boris for alerting me to the screwup and the Metalheads for the video.

Black Sabbath were known to be a bit dodgy live. I did see them several times. If they missed a queue they or fluffed a solo, they went to an improvised jam or carried on. They were legit and no backing tracks. I love KISS but the tour is robbing off fans and exploiting them whilst they can. I was told by a work mate who KISS in Birmingham he sensed the backing tracks and miming a lot. KISS use a lot of theatrics and distractions, so a lot people miss the gaffs.

If they had their own makeup, they would be happier, the old REAL fans would be happier. It would not be as good as Peter and Ace up there, but it would be better then someone pretending . Even if they couldn't get Bruce back in the band as he had already moved on to other bands and projects. Just pick up where they left off in 96 with Eric and Tommy and keept going like that . The last time i saw them live was the Rock The Nation Tour in 2004-2005 I think and they were still pretty good at that point,at least the show i got to see was. But they kinda went down hill from there. Also my big cimplaint is they've been basically doing the same set list for over 20 years, give or take a song or 2. The only non makeup era songs ive seen them do is Lick it Up, Heavens on fire, and Unholy.. thats it and theres so many good songs they should be playing that came out in the non makeup years 83-96.

Bruce would have come back in a heartbeat if they asked him, he’s just been a scab for Grand Funk for decades. Union had some good songs but they couldn’t find an audience. Thayer just got the gig because he was already there and when he started doing it in 2002 it was just for things like That 70s Show and that Dick Clark special, he was 100% a ring-in at that point. They asked Ace to come back for a year but he didn’t want to work with Gene anymore and the rest is history.

@@thefonzkiss it's just so disappointing to me. I am/ was a KISS ARMY SOLDIER ever since I first discovered them back in like 75/76 . I had heard a song or 2 before on radio. Like R&R.A.N. or maybe D.R.C.,Beth,ect.. but I hadn't actually (seen)them yet. Then the Paul Lynde Halloween Special came on tv. Well that was it I was hooked lol. So a little time goes by and my mom and I were at a coworker of hers family get together this was around early 77 maybe I'm not sure it's been a long time... and I was there hanging out with this girls younger brothers and sisters. She had a teenager boy and girl, and two younger girls around my age then a younger boy. Anyway I'm sitting there I think we were playing cards or something and the guy says hold on I'm gonna play some music he opened up the stereo cabinet and had a few good albums of the day. Stuff like Fleetwood Mac,Peter Frampton, Eagles,E.L.O.,ECT.. and then there it was,.. KISS ALIVE! also DISTROYER ! So naturally I freaked out and told them how I'd only just seen them on the Halloween Special. And had never seen them before. And I ask if he would play alive or at least part of it and well my journey was on . No pun intended lol. So I beg my mom to get me the New album as soon as it came out or take me to get it with my alowence. I had already seen a tv commercial for a music store that had all the new releases and it showed Rock and Roll Over . So I got it . And managed to get pretty much all new releases by them within a week of coming out from then on. My first concert was KISS DYNASTY TOUR,Sunday night October 14,1979. Opening act John Cougar.

As a guitarist, drummer and vocalist for over 20 years semi prof. Lol give em a break id love too see these trolls in the comments tour in their 70s without a little assistance on days with vocal issues, better then canceling the show or sounding awful when nature takes control and unsurprisingly messes with a 74 yr olds vocal chords or arthritic hands lol, most artists today dont even sing a single note its all lip sync and live autotune and they're still young and capable enough to have no excuse for that. KISS doesnt lip sing they use assistance when needed but very much still perform live, you can hear every unentended squeak in Pauls voice when he pushes too hard and they do a very bare bones live sound check b4 every single show for a small crowd and its as raw as it can get, people need to know what theyre talking about b4 getting heated at a band theyve never seen live lol Reminds me of the people who cry about KISS using a click track and say how they would never.... yea it's not nessary playing in a bar to 50 people but when your selling out stadiums and need your lights and pyro and video packages to all sync up perfectly thats not done without a click nor should it be, that's exactly how artists can end up catching fire on stage due to mis timed pyro

Pantera's CFH intro was not a backing track. It was just that, an intro. Pantera never played to a click to facilitate pre recorded extra guitar and vocal parts to "fatten up" their sound and compensate for week vocals and such. "Artists" do that today because a certain standard has been set for concert audio. The Pantera example is a bad one and bands have most certainly not been doing for 30 years what they get away with today.

That’s the problem, he’s asleep at the wheel. He’s so bored of the show by this point.

This is the Australian rock band Kiss. The man on the left is the bass player. His name is Perky Turkish. he's dressed as an evil clown.

Really? Even if it's all fake? I heard rumors that Gene and Paul were thinking about starting a Kiss "Franchise" with other people pretending to be them (like they kind of did with Ace and Peter), so basically Gene and Paul would "pimp" them, you would still like that? Kiss used to be great, Ace was a big element in their success, he designed the "outrageous" Kiss logo, composed most of the hits, not to mention his guitar playing and they kicked him out when he was hitting the bottom...not good for business.

If it goes out of time and they not playing in time with the drums that would suggest they are playing kive and the click track messaded up, as they don't hear what the crowed hears

Did you not hear the fake background vocals play out of time? Thanks for the comment and interesting spelling.

I liked them because I was a kid and everyone else liked them as a kid until I saw them on some TV shows and the sound was simply horrible. It was upsetting. I gave the records away out of disgust. I'm embarrassed I liked them. Then again, I was a teen. We were their market. It was more a media phenomena and basic rock formula than a band and it was promoted as such. They just weren't good musicians and needed the studio. There were far better musicians in the 70's. The Allman Brothers, Yes, The Eagles, ZZ Top the list goes on. Before you get your panties in bunch it's my opinion. I don't give a damn if you like them or not. I can't imagine how people could even be surprised by this. Then again, most music is simply a product, it isn't just them. I like the Eagles as a band, but the personalties of Frey and Henley are just abrasive assholes. They still don't come to Simmons who's truly a disgusting person.

To toravnerflyr6911: Articulate, succinct and concise comment. Exactly why they began with the makeup initially and the stage show in order to compensate.

I've heard similar criticism of Boston. I'm sure there are others Zeppelin, actually, too. On records they sound great. Live? Not so much

It’s sad they had to pull this on their final tour.
