oh yeah also seeing John 5 on here was rad. I saw him in Salt Lake City a while back John 5 and the creatures. In a small venue it was insanely good I even got a guitar pick. It was a Planet of the Apes series. And I won't give it away for anyone who hasn't seen him John 5 actually pulled some stuff out of his bag of tricks that I had never seen before it was one of the most entertaining enthralling shows I've ever been to for just listening to guitar and not hearing one word of vocals it was so good. I mean I'm 54 years old I've seen every one of my favorite guitarist and every few minutes at his show I was just like what what what is this guy doing this is insane!

This is my favourite episode you guys have done. John seems like an absolutely amazing person and he was so respectful and polite from start to finish. The three of you guys looked like you were having the best time ever listening to his stories. From beginning to end, this interview was truly a masterpiece. Loved the chemistry between all of you. KISS My Kollectibles is as legendary as John 5 himself. Home run episode guys. Keep on goin’

This was such a great episode, and John 5 most certainly seems like a genuinely sweet down to earth guy. Thank you for sharing this. So cool to hear his stories, and as always super cool to hear yours. You guys totally deserve a chance like this. Your work is outstanding, and the community you gather is amazing. Great job. (PS - As a Kansas Citian....everyone here was jaws to the floor regarding the Lawrence story when that occurred LOL.) Such a cool story. Thanks for sharing. Have a good week!

Great show. Thanks for including pictures of the stuff John 5 was talking about. The story about the guy with cancer was very moving. By the way, I met John 5 at Rob Zombie meet and greet in my hometown (Madrid, Spain) and he was quite a nice and down to earth guy.

Its like the cart before the Horse theory …. Cant have all the crazy toys & songbooks etc etc etc ….. without the Vinyl …. Because the vinyl/8 tracks is where it basically started, it was because of them that led to all the rest of the stuff that came after it & basically because of it.

This was awesome. John is such a great guy. I was lucky enough to meet him at a music festival in Bridgeview, IL a few years ago, just outside of Chicago. We entered through the main gate early in the day and there he was, just standing there. I’m guessing he was trying to see who would know who he was. We approached him for a picture and of course he got a big smile on his face and he took the photo with us. Seems like a great guy. Love his playing. Great show, boys.

Y'all all get so many comments I don't know if you'll see this or respond to it. But I love the question how did you get into kiss? I was 9 years old in 1976 living on Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls Montana the only music I knew was the Beatles The Rolling Stones Jimi Hendrix and a few other things in my parents collection. Then one day my mother told me that my aunt and my uncle were coming to stay with us from Norfolk Virginia. My uncle showed up a 16 year old boy. Set up his little area of the basement with his mattress his record player and pulled out his record collection of about 10 or 12 records. Some of the same ones John mentioned Jethro Tull Alice Cooper Aerosmith as I'm flipping through these records unimpressed. I see the cover for Kiss Destroyer and my jaw just hit the ground. I pulled the record out and my uncle says oh you want to listen to that one there called kiss I just got to see them at the Norfolk Scope and he pulled out a package of photographs taken with a Kodak 110 camera. And they were in the order that the photographs were taken the opening band that night was Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band so let me tell you how weird that was not at the time but now that I think of it to see Bob Seger on a kiss stage with the KISS logo behind him not even covered up or anything so then he has these pretty good front or second row photos of Ace Gene and Paul only 12 of them but it blew my mind. So I guess that was pretty lucky. That I got to see the record cover hear the record and look at photographs of them in concert I didn't even know what concert was yet I was blown away and the rest as they say is kisstory. He had some other photographs of Aerosmith and Ted Nugent and some other concerts that he had gone to but after seeing the kiss stuff I was not interested oh and he also had a destroyer tour book what he pulled out a little bit later I don't know why he didn't show it to me right then. But needless to say my uncle was just a guy who like early 70s rock and kiss was part of his own collection and I became obsessed and had more kiss stuff than him within a year. Anyway thanks for letting me tell you this I hope you get to read it.
