Believe it or not, Kindergartens in Germany are VERY different from those in the USA. If you've moved abroad to Germany with young Children you're probably concerned about what the country offers in terms of schooling. In Germany, children can join starting from the age of one and attend Kindergarten/Kita up until the age of 6. The teaching approach is far more involved than in the USA. Want to learn more and see how easy it is to get your kids into a Kita? And by the way, what's a Kita??
Note: In the video, there are a few subtitles where we mistakenly spelled kindergarten with a "d". Sorry!

Geoff and Alex - We’re two Americans living abroad in Berlin, Germany!
We both moved abroad separately to Germany over 10 years ago. After years of learning German, planting roots in our new home and navigating culture shock, we met through happenstance. Eventually, we created the Americans in Germany Drinking Whiskey Podcast.
Now we’re here on KZitem releasing a video each week! We discuss the differences between daily life in Germany and the USA, give advice to those who are hoping to make the move abroad and share plenty of funny stories and weird knowledge about being an expat in Germany. Along the way, we drink a new bottle of whiskey in each video. Why? We think, why not.
