A fan translation of a clip from Tonikawa Public Radio held in October. Seiyuu : Kito Akari Enoki Junya Feel free to correct my mistranslations m(_ _)m
Just searched it, ヤニカス(yanikasu) is a derogatory term for smokers, roughly translating to “smoking trash”. Yani refers to tar, so I guess that is where the term is derived from. As Enoki said it’s not really a word you’d expect to come out from a well behaved lady’s mouth… …but Akarin is no lady😂

It's an internet slang. He even said it.

@@THETRIVIALTHINGS It is a slang but you probably shouldn’t say that in front of an audience Especially when the audience is mostly old men, likely smokers I mean it’s not a big deal but still lol

@@ralkashira1437It's mostly an online thing. No one says it irl, that's what made the video funny when Akari said it.

Thanks for translating. Really appreciate the clips and the effort for translation! At 3:37 you have translated 募集 (ぼしゅう)as "vote". In english, to 'vote' means to pick out of many options that you give them. But here, he is asking for things to say. More specifically, 'boshuu' officially means 'to recruit," but it's often used to mean, "looking for someone" e.g. 暇電募集(ひまでんぼしゅう) "looking for someone to chat with because I'm bored/when I'm bored" // OR "looking for an opinion," like it is here. Here I think I would translate it more freely. e.g. "Someone, give me something to praise Akari for!" "Don't ask them!"

yeah, roughly i wrote it "I'll ask the audience" "don't ask them!", i don't remember why i changed it people have probably noticed from the other video too but sometimes as long as it doesn't far from the context amd narrative i did change the way it translated i don't know why xD

I’m impressed that Enoki figured out Akari’s role so fast 😂 I’m pretty sure ヤンキー means delinquent but thanks for subbing!

@@ueueuesama Probably "Yankee" makes sense for the people who are watching your videos (far into JP culture). But Delinquent was perfectly fine, and Thug is fine too.
