Klakkur is an oddly shaped mountain (413m, 1355ft) with a long narrow top plateau. When standing at the top, you have an excellent view of the surrounding islands, mountains and towns.
In this 360° drone video of Klakkur, you see the nearby town of Klaksvík, the second biggest town in the Faroe Islands. The islands Eysturoy and Nólsoy are to the south. To the northwest is the long narrow island of Kalsoy with the Kallur lighthouse (not visible in the video).
Across the fjord, straight to the north of Klakkur is the southern end of Kunoy. The island has six of the ten highest mountains in the Faroe Islands.
Hiking to the top of Klakkur is easy, it takes about 30 minutes from the parking at Hálsur. Hálsur is a viewpoint between the two peaks Klakkur and Hálgafelli.
