You guys had a cool double tent setup. I like the first lights ability to bend in different directions. The second one has that cool old school look.✌️🇺🇸🇨🇦✌️

The latter would definitely be better suited to car camping. Also as usual I am not a fan of the built in non replaceable batteries. Klarus does make my current favorite 'tactical' flashlights though. Still I think the best lanterns available are the ML6 and ML4 from ledlenser, as they work really well, and you can replace the batteries which allows you to bring spares.

Mark I recently went into the Walmart about an hour drive from us and was like hey why not see what they have in their camping section. They now have a 4 and 8 person model ConnecTent. These are tents that use a standard 10x10 canopy tent(sold seperately) as the base and have rooms that branch off. They look very handy and are priced very well. The 8 person model even comes with a bug net that wraps around the other half of the 10x10 canopy. They also have a 32oz Sawyer water bottle with a sawyer mini inside for $20. What a steal of a price.

Unfortunately, Klarus website link is only for CL3. When I finally found the CL2 link, its cost is $49.95. Still is almost $30 (USD) less than Amazon's sale price....I like the Cl2 and will be "thinking on it!" Thanks for the great reviews as always!

G'day Mark, Klarus is a quality brand, no doubt in my mind, though I'm actually quite surprised how well priced these are, .... does make me a little suspicious ; ) Anyway, I really dig the CL2 in particular; with its wings and good capacity power bank. I reckon it would be even better with an isolation switch on each wing so you could have any combination on/off. Btw; I have an old Colman branded lantern that has a remote fob, which is ideal for sleeping tent illumination, hung from the roof; i.e turn off when finished reading, (without getting up) and turn on when nature calls in the wee small hours. I just clip it to my stretcher so I can find it. The CL3 could do with that feature IMO. I might have mentioned before, I use a Fenix CL30R, only the 3 18650s, ... but they are replaceable ; ) Thanks for showing these mate and very well done as usual. Cheers Duke. P.S. very much like your camp set up too !!!!! I can immediately see the experience/thought for your requirements. Maybe there's a vid idea in itself, I see so many folks that have a frustrating trip, simply through naivety.

I will look at the Fenix again. We have been car camping for more than 30 years and have honed our methods. That may change this year as we are considering a trailer to make it easier on our aging bodies. Thanks for commenting Duke

@@MarkYoungBushcraft There's so many trailers with so many variations out there, it can turn into a minefield, and an expensive minefield at that, but with plenty of research I'm sure you'd find one that's just right should you go down that track. They are a very good way to go.

I like both those lights but think I prefer the little explosion proof looking one. My dollar store pull out lights are still going strong though so I'm not in the market for a new light yet haha. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family today Mark. Hope you have a great day.
