Beside that there are a few things that you have to pay attention to, like the quality of the basic picture you use (dont waste your time with text to video), and of course you have to study the instuction manual from the manufacturer... I'll give it another shot after a while and hopefully whatever bug I'm experiencing will have been corrected by then.

I used klingai the last couple of weeks and it was working pretty well. Text to image and text to video generation was pretty quick. Image to video generation was always kinda slow. When I started, it took a few hours, later it almost took a whole day. As of late, the last couple of days image to video generation doesn't seem to get anywhere and just fails processing. When that happens one gets the credits used for the previous attempt back to try again or spend them otherwise, it used to work before though. But something leads to the process to take more and more time now until it fails. An influx of new users perhaps? Weird that the free credits stay the same if the service can't keep up with command. But now, that generations take longer than a day and might end up in failure, there is no point in queueing up even more generations. I guess I'll have to wait until my previous ones finish, if they finish at all.
@excelerator
4 күн бұрын
Interesting. It could be, as you suggested, an increase in new users or an increase in demand. If so, I hope that levels off or Kling is able to match the resources to meet the need and things get better again.
@Streifi
4 күн бұрын
@@excelerator I believe this is the most likely case. The interesting (or worrying) thing is, that they pretty much do the opposite right now. When processing fails and you get the 10 credits back to either try again or do another video (or images) with them you can totally do retry to generate the videos. But most often, the failed attempt stays in your backlog and eventually finishes on its own after a few days. So whenever a video fails you just get more free credits, while the process still seems to be going on in the background anyway. I assume this is a mistake or error on kling ai's part. But it also clogs up the backlog more and more. If every user takes advantage of this, then this would explain why image to video generation gets slower and slower (at least for free users like me) and in turn generates more and more credits each time the generations fail.

Lately i've had atleast 20 attempts trying to generate image to video, and ALL of them has failed after 48+ hours. For the record, I have no official ties with Kling AI. But I’m an early adopter that managed to subscribe to the standard plan at a discounted rate. People experiencing most of the reported issues are on free plans. My videos are being generated very quickly and I can easily produce high-quality text-to-video/image-to-video content, because I’m on a paid plan. Other AI tools, such as Luma and RunwayML are far more expensive than Kling AI. And it takes longer for them to generate content. If you want to produce the highest-quality video content very quickly, then you’re going to need to pay for it. It’s disappointing to see you claim that Kling AI is “awful”, despite flatly-refusing to pay for it or test all its capabilities. Your derogatory claim is due to a knowledge gap on your part, due to exclusively testing Kling via the free plan, which you did not concede in your video.
@excelerator
4 күн бұрын
"Kling AI is awful" is my opinion, not a factual claim. I was clear in the video that I was attempting to use it on the free plan. You mentioned several times in your comment that I was using the free plan, so obviously I made that distinction. If I go to test drive a specific make and model of car, and the first one shakes, jolts, and coughs it's way to the street, the second one doesn't even start, the third one doesn't even start, and then a fourth one moves unimpressively to the end of the block and back, I'm not buying that make and model of car. Not even if the salesperson tells me that my poor experience is based on a "knowledge gap" that would vanish if I just paid for the car. I certainly wouldn't feel any more confident being told that "most of the reported issues" are from people taking test drives. I'm glad Kling AI is working for you. And I appreciate you sharing that experience. I don't appreciate inaccurate assertions about what was or wasn't 'conceded' in my video, and I don't appreciate the condescending demeanor.
@FERGUSGsAIShowcase

@@excelerator I am more than willing to apologise for my alleged “condescending demeanour” if you can quote my words (verbatim) that aren’t factually-accurate. And I'm being sincere when I say that - I will say I'm sorry if anything I wrote upset you. You’re welcome to your opinion, but it seems excessively harsh, bordering on click-bait. Publishing a thirteen-minute video branding Kling AI as being “awful” without thoroughly testing all its capabilities doesn’t seem appropriate, especially considering it’s in beta and the issue only affects users on the free plan. Kling have acknowledged the existence of the “issue” (caused by high-traffic), and it’s normal for new tools to face teething problems. I've faced issues with every AI video-generation tool I've used (RunwayML, Luma, Kaiber, Krea, PixVerse, Salt AI, Morph, Viggle, LensGO, Domo, Pika etc.)... and I didn't completely dismiss them as being "awful".
@excelerator

Let me back up to something I think we agree on, which is what you said "if you want to produce the highest-quality video content very quickly, then you're going to need to pay for it." No argument from me on that. For tech development, and similar things, the options are usually that you can have it fast/good/cheap - but you can only pick two of the three. I also agree that perfection is not to be expected from ANY of the generative AI tools or platforms and issues are likely. I've experimented with many of those you listed. The difference is that Kling is the only one I've encountered that failed to produce an output more often than not (in my experience.) The main point where I take issue is with your assertion that I did not disclose my testing was using free access: "due to exclusively testing Kling via the free plan, which you did not concede in your video." I absolutely did make that point several times in the video. The condescending demeanor I'm referring to is not about a single statement of fact but the tone I perceived in the overall message. Perhaps that was not the intent with which it was written and an error in perception on my part. Maybe my title choices are too harsh. I didn't have a title in mind when I set out to try Kling. After recording and while editing, I was scratching my head about how to title the video. Ultimately, I decided to put it the way I would if I was talking to a friend who heard about it and asked my opinion. I do not like clickbait (at all) and I frequently avoid titles that would certainly get more views for my little channel and opt instead for the less flashy, more accurate titles. In this video, and all of the others I make, I do my best to be fair, honest, and show as much as I can without boring people into a coma. My initial plan was to record what I was doing as I was doing it. But, i wasn't about to sit here with the camera watching me watch the screen for hours on end. Given how long it was taking to get a generation, when it actually generated, I wasn't going to spend additional days trying to get more features included in the video. Kling doesn't have to offer free access. That, in my opinion, would be better. I believe it's Runway that will pop up a message when demand is high and let you know that free generations are temporarily suspended. That's fine too. Or, even a little notice on the free generation that sets expectations appropriately, like 'free generations may take several days to process and have a higher likelihood of not completing. - demand is high and we prioritize resources for our customers." That would be more than fair. However, it's not clear to me that these issues are limited to free users. I've heard from several paid users who have similar complaints. Granted, it seems like fewer paid users having these problems than free users. Lastly, if you take a look at the other comments here, and my replies, I think you'll find that I'm not being a hater. I'm glad some folks are having good results and I don't doubt them (or you) on that fact. It gives me hope. I've said to several here (and in the video) that I look forward to trying it again sometime. I genuinely hope we've found at least some common ground here. And, I apologize if I was too snappy in my response. I do appreciate your experience, input, and debate!

Less movement, but accurate, is a reasonable request. We can critique all the details in an AI video generator output but, to me, the bottom line is: is it usable?
