The RMS for that speaker is 250watts RMS. If you fed it that power you would think it’s another speaker. I put a Bryston 4B on my RF82’s with my Lexicon Receiver and that was a true 85 Watts all channels driven and the extra power really opened it up even more.

Nice review! I wondered whether you or the subscribers of your channel had a chance to compare these with Klipsch Heritage Forte III speakers? As far as I can understand the Fortes Heritage a bit more efficient and considered to be the "audiophile" sort of speakers. The Forte III are also more expensive, while the RF-7 III even though being the "reference" type of speakers and while having a bit better specks are more suitable for the home theater type of use, like watching TV and playing games. Can you and viewers share their impressions of both these Klipsches, please?

A tip, watch the video of the link that I will leave and download the table in the description of the video, you will find that this need that some have to buy expensive amplifiers is totally unnecessary, especially if the person has Klipsch speakers. kzitem.info/news/bejne/yqqB14eNgWJoko4 And make an experiment, install a DB Meter on your smartphone and play some music and movies, so you can measure what sound pressure in your room in DBs is pleasing to you and compare with the table, so you have a real idea of how many power you really need.

SkeksisRule hey there, I got a chance to listen to the 8000’s awhile back and they are definitely a great speaker! I’d say from a price/performance ratio i would put them above the 7’s. At lower volumes you won’t really notice a huge difference between the two but as you push them louder, you will start to notice the benefits of the 7’s, bass and dynamics is on a whole different level. But the 8000’s are incredibly detailed and have plenty of bass with those dual 8s.

skeksisrule: In my opinion, unless you are putting these in a huge space, you would be more than ok with the RP Series. You can even argue you would be okay with the entry level Reference towers...again, depending on the size room you'll be using it. I have Front R28's and Center RP-504C. I opted to put my money on the center channel. I have 7.2 system, using R51M for my sorrounds and two R12SW for my subs. Put the extra money in your center channel and a second or even 3rd sub.

@ Frankee Zee I concur sir. If you have a medium sized listening space the RP series is an excellent choice, especially if your running subwoofers. You should still achieve very satisfactory sound pressure levels if your system is calibrated correctly. I would love ❤️ a pair of RF-7 iii’s but just don’t have a big enough room to justify them. Only it's more than just the bass. Sure, if that's all you care about. These are more musical for two channel listening: the cabinets are super braced to reduce resonance, two separate enclosures for the bass drivers stiffen the structure and reduce standing waves (which color the mid/bass), the tweeter is much better with higher range while remaining smoother (new phase plug), better crossover components, etc. And last but not least, these are hand built in America, Hope, AR, not China like the RP range. Don't bet me wrong, I started with the RP6000f, but these are at another level sonically

Mike Davis great question, I’m no audio engineer so unfortunately I can’t get down to technicals on it but from what I’ve read, it’s due to the coils used and the cone being thinner and lighter, it can cover a wider range from mids to lows. While I’m sure music purists and crazy audiophiles might be able to pinpoint anything lacking or missing. For my use with primarily movies and gaming, I don’t feel anything missing and at RMAF, I heard a ton of much higher end stuff with much more luxurious gear and while some (not all) sounded better to me, I don’t know that any of it sounded 20-60k better
