Another back-to-back SCATHING review from Vasel. Love to see it. 😂

I love tom’s judgments on games that aren’t “approved” or “excellent.” Best one yet.

Although I am a subscriber to TDC, I guess I didn't hit that notification bell, because I am just seeing this review today. I am the inventor of Kloak and I am here for the shellacking. I respect Tom's opinion. He didn't like Blurt! (one of my other games) either: kzitem.info/news/bejne/p52hzI5ocHuVqI4 HaHa! Here's hoping Kloak finds an audience that does enjoy it. I will keep taking my swings and hope to one day invent a game that Tom likes. Happy Father's Day!

So my wife family really like this game. I bought it because I am always in the lookout for kids games and it was 50% off at B&N, but after playing it with my kids, my wife and I like playing just the two of us. One thing that makes it interesting, the way I read the rules that seems different from what Tome said, is you can't move and uncover on the same turn, so you are trying to remember where everything is while tryong to trick the other person into lining things up for you. My whole family likes it. My children are 6 and 11.

Kloakk is the Norwegian word for "sewer". How is that for spelling?

In Danish sewer is simply kloak. Apparently, it's very apropos.

I love being able to tell if Tom hates a game within 5 seconds just by the tone of his voice 😃 I'm assuming they spelled it with a k to avoid people seeing actual cloaks in a Google search and/or just to be "kool" 😂 Anyway this game appears to be one that sounds like a good idea, but doesn't play as good.

Also, maybe for trademark reasons

Trademark reasons? You mean someone would actually ever want to admit they invented this Krap?

@@RetroMaticGamer No :D I'm saying Cloak was probably already trademarked (not necessarily in the board gaming space).

The pieces used to cover the others should have been two different colors split between both players. I don't think that would have salvaged the game, but surely it would have improved it?

I like the concept and the looks (even the hole in the box!). But yeah, it feels like a giant problem that every player can make 3 in a row with the same colors. At one point, nobody will wants to move almost anything cause you basically give the opponent the row if you do so -_-

The designer must have underestimated players too much.

A ‘Kloak’ is a sewer. I expected the game to be about sewer work 🤷♂️.
