2nd video made on unreal engine 4 'cause i love christmas. I added some reverb to the music to enhance the feeling of christmas. Have a merry christmas everyone.
WOW! I remember as a little girl in the Holiday Season during the 70's Christmas music would be playing out on the loudspeakers as people would shop. No on was offended. And even if they were... too darn bad! A time of such joy and cheer! So many Christmas trees and decorations... the window displays were spectacular! And as a child, I would dream of Christmas... the North Pole...wanting to go to that faraway place. A wonderful time of seeing all the toys... for all of us who are 50 and older remember when alot of stores really didn't have alot of toys... outside of actual toy stores... but during the Christmas season... almost EVERY store had toys! I remember the catalogs and circling all the toys that I wanted for Christmas... Oh how I would give ANYTHING to go back just once more... to be able to be with my grandparents and great aunts and great uncles who have passed on.... Going to the malls as a child during the Holiday Season was also such a GREAT TREAT!!!!!! to be that little girl walking in between my parents as they both held my hands... my eyes were full of wonder and cheer... for soon Santa would be here! How I miss those days... those very precious days! ... and yes, that little girl in me still believes in Santa Claus!

I think it is important to express grief and feel offended by things. I think acknowledging people‘s feelings is important. But I do agree with some of the comments about your Kmart experience I mean all your experiences are valid to you it’s just the ones I resonate with are the shelves stocked with toys. Older Kmart was definitely more organized and things could easily be found. They definitely had the shelves stocked with nice toys and Christmas things. I remember those things quite clearly. I also remember when our Kmart first opened in my locale back in 1981, Kmart looked more like a warehouse but everything was in its place like stocked nicely and it was entirely organized. Of course when Kmart started to decline around the turn of the century and I could be mistaken about that time frame, the shelves were kind of bare in some places like they didn’t keep up with it and other places it was just a mess. But there was always an abundance of merchandise you could choose from.

@@robertvillarreal4525 No Robert, not when you compare it (the passing of time) to eternity with Jesus Christ, whose birthday we celebrate during this beautiful time of year. Even if we live to be 100, it's a mere drop in the bucket compared to a glorious eternity with Jesus. But Jesus said we must be born again, otherwise, we cannot enter the Kingdom of God. The simplest definition of what born again means, comes from the Bible itself in Titus 3:5. To be born again, means to receive a brand new birth and a brand new life from God, and we receive this new birth and new life when we see ourselves as we really are: not as good people, but sinners in need of the Savior's forgiveness and mercy for our crimes (sins) committed against him: lying, stealing, blasphemy, making a god in our own image to suit ourselves. And that's just four out of the 10 Commandments we've broken. If we try to keep the Commandments, yet break even one of them, we're as guilty as if we'd broken all of them. And we have. All of us. The Commandments can't save anybody from hell. They only condemn us because they show us our sins before God, who is righteous, holy, and just. Good news, bad news. Bad news first. The 10 Commandments (and I took you through four of them earlier) are called the Moral Law of God. You and I broke that law, Jesus paid our fine, on the cross, in full when he bled and died for our sins. And not just our sins, but the sins of the whole world. The punishment God meant for us because of our sins, Jesus, the sinless Son of God (1 Peter 1:19), took upon himself instead. And Jesus shedding his blood on the cross for our sins, was a very important part of his sacrifice, because as the Bible states in the New Testament in Hebrews 9:22, that without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness for sins. It's also important to note that Jesus' death on the cross was voluntary (John 10:18). Nobody took his life from him, as though anybody could. He laid it down of his own accord and took it back up again three days later when he rose from the grave, victorious over death, defeating it forever. Now he lives forever to give eternal life to anyone who repents (turns away) from their sins, and puts their trust in him alone for the forgiveness of their sins. I wish for you a wonderful and very Merry Christmas, Robert, and a very Happy New Year. But most of all, I wish for you forgiveness, mercy, and eternal life in Jesus Christ. Repent and receive his free gift of eternal life today (Ephesians 2:8-9) while you still can, because after death, comes judgment (Hebrews 9:27) and then it's too late. After physical death, if you enter into eternity without Christ and without his forgiveness and mercy, there's only judgment and wrath. Please don't wait. I want to see you in heaven someday; not hell. You're my fellow human being and I care about you. My Christmas Gifts To You: 1. Unpopular the Movie" Free on KZitem. For three years in the late 1980s and early 1990s, I worked for K-Mart, and each Christmas season, I got put on the overnight restocking crew. Our job was to restock the store and put it back in order for the following day. With the store empty of customers, it was fairly quiet, and the music was left running. It sounded very much like this - thin and echo-ey. It was especially welcome if you were working in an area alone. Not that I was overly fond of Christmas music, but it does remind me of those times and the great people I worked with, and the great company I worked FOR. Yes, this was back in the day, before K-Mart started going to rags. The pay was not spectacular, but back then they did at least show you respect and appreciation for your hard work. I miss those days. I miss being that young. I miss the people I worked with, and I miss the job security that I enjoyed back then.

I worked at the first Kmart in Garden City Michigan. It had a plaque on the time clock that said store #1. My employee # was 321. Most of the departments were leased and not owned by kmart. I worked in ladies wear which was a liscenced dept and I was paid in cash that was enclosed in a little brown envelope. I was 15 then so much of that money was spent in thr store on items I had tucked away for pay day. Happy times. Also we had a outdoor ice skating rink in Garden City Park that played this same music. Great happy memories!

As I’m watching this I’m getting overwhelmed with emotions (sigh). My father worked and managed there for nearly 20 years until his store location closed in the early 2000s. My uncle worked there until his retirement (may he Rest In Peace, passed away on his bday last year; which was the same day he officially retired from Kmart). I remember the smells of the popcorn, shrimp platters, and sandwiches in the cafeteria there. I remember getting all my Christmas toys from there and so many other memories. Again, this made me emotional in a nostalgic way. Missing all the good people from that great era. Thank You for the upload!!

I remember our Kmart store in much the same way. My mom and I would go in, set a time to meet, and she would shop while I headed for the toy department. No one bothered me or tried to kidnap me. The workers recognized me, knowing I wasn't there to do anything but look. I was always taught, 'look, don't touch'. The only thing I touched was the Hot Wheels. Had to look through them... The smell of fresh popcorn, the sound of the Icee machine, and the ever present blue light special announcements...those were the days!

I began in 1972 so I was an assistant manager in a Kmart in Atlanta, Georgia the Christmas this music was playing over the PA system. This is like a scene from a movie, where someone finds themselves transported to a different dimension, like at the end of "2001" except instead of being in a mysterious hotel room they're driving down a snowy lane in the country and in the middle of nowhere, a mysterious Kmart store. No people but the lights are on, echoey Christmas music in the background, it looks like it's beyond time and space, kind of like the Eternal Kmart Christmas Store.

This is very nostalgic. It reminds me of a time not so long ago when things were a little simpler, a time when people actually liked spending time together enjoying each other's company, and when communicating was done face to face instead of through text and social media. All people do these days is constantly look at their phones. I guess that is what you call progress? I miss those very special days. Thank you for taking the time to post this!

Exactly....now everyone "shops" at home sitting on their butts...then everyone is sad that stores are closing down....nobody wants human contact anymore....so what if the stores are crowded?...that was part of the fun....everyone wants to text, not even talk live on the phone anymore...before you called and talked live....everyone staring at the stupid phones...its a sad state indeed.

This is certainly haunting and echo-ey. It is said that Robert Zemeckis made Polar Express largely from his childhood memories, and there is certainly a segment of that film where the music is echo-ey like this. I have to wonder if Zemeckis, either consciously or sub-consciously, was recalling this unsual sounding K-mart music.

I worked at Kmart for YEARS. I originally worked at a Super Kmart Center then got transferred over to a Big Kmart. I would listen to music like this from November, December, and a few days into January. It didn't bother me until I'd been there for my 6th Christmas season. I started to get tired of the same songs all the time and I could tell some of the customers wouldn't enjoy it as well. At about 13 years working there, They changed the jazzy classic music to Mariah Carey, Frank Sinatra, and just Christmas songs with words instead of tunes. I personally liked the jazzy music better then when they suddenly changed the theme that year. It didn't feel as much like a classic Kmart Christmas that year. The next year they went back, and I felt all Christmassy again! Then within a few years the location I was at closed and I went to another Big Kmart. It closed 2 years after and there was one more, so I worked there. They closed in 2018 and now I work at Sam's Club. Retail has been my entire life.

Ah thanks a lot, you know, to my mind, chrstmas is known to be religious, but i think it's something more universal, like reconciliation, love and sharing the best you can with people you love, whatever if you're jewish or bouddist or athéist, just enjoy the feeling of the bells that ring.

This video is a haunting look into the past...so eerie almost like a different dimension...I’m dreamin of a simple time and try to get in but can’t seem to get passed the parking lot even though there are cars are present it’s abandoned but I’m convinced it’s open because of all the lights...

K Mart seems so innocent now......in house photos of the babies, bolts of lovely USA calico, the non corporate snack bar with bacon&egg breakfast with bottomless coffee, the Christmas dresses union made in USA. The Kress line of stores were kinder, gentler places than the monster that replaced them. We didn't know when we were well off, did we?

The cars in the video are too new for the time era. Kmart went bankrupt in like the early 2000s. And by 2002 all Kmarts everywhere were GONE!

The reverb makes it fitting for 2020's Covid Christmas, does it not? Despite the fact things are the way they are, this is why we have Christmas, is it not? To show spirit, to show joy, and to show love. BECAUSE It's this way, we need to show extra joy, love and cheer. People might be hurting. So give them all the love you quite possibly can. That's the true Christmas spirit. That's the true meaning of Christmas. Remember that. Always remember that. You're never alone. No matter where we are or who we are, We can all have that Christmas love and joy in or hearts together. In that being said, Stay safe, Stay loving, and try to stay as holly and jolly as you quite possibly can. Don't let a bad year get you down this Christmas! You're all special. YOu're all precious. Remember that. I hope you all stay safe and have as lovely as a Christmas as you can. I love all of you.

You trudged across town on a snowy Christmas Eve to buy a last minute gift only to find the Kmart had already closed. Crestfallen you head to the Liquor Wheel Drive In for a bottle of booze. Your kid may not have a present under the tree when he wakes up but it won't matter you'll be too hungover to care.
