Detailed lecture on the biomechanics of Knee complex which includes both TIBIOFEMORAL & PATELOFEMORAL JOINTS. Knee joint is one of most injured joint especially because of lot of ligaments and muscles around it as well as due to the incongruence of joint. The tibiofemoral joint is the articulation between Distal and of femur and Proximal end of tibia.
The distal end of femur has medial and lateral femoral condyles as well as a intercondylar notch and patellar sulcus or surface. The peculiarities of both condlyes and structure of them are discussed in detail.
The proximal end of tibia also is made of medial and lateral condyles often known as tibial plateaus. Watch the lecture for more details.
