I think the biggest problem people experience during Bulgarien split squat is that the back leg is way to high in the air. Lower the box and the Mobility required becomes way less.

I find doing deadlifts or other hamstring exercises helps to reduce knee pain during the squat significantly even without stretching. Comprehensive hip mobility stretches also help a ton.

Sometimes tight quads cause knee pain. Try stretching out the quads and it might help too, that is what has helped me especially after sitting all day at work then feeling a pain at the gym

I have a bad knee from an injury a few years ago, and love the split squats to help the rehab, and now they've become a big part of my leg workout. What I found to be a game changer is using a little stand with a round pad built to do split squats on, way more comfortable on the back leg

I just had a swollen meniscus from weighted Bulgarians. I’ve been subbing it out for weighted static lunges. Might try this.

That is great. I had a meniscus tear since 9 months now is so muuuch better thanks to physio but Bulgarian lunges or lunges in general are my fear whenever I feel a tiny pain am like naa not doing this. But am gonna try these now.

I get these random sudden sharp knee pains too and I think it's when my quads are tired or tight.

Its weird but I can’t do a split squat. My legs don’t straighten and is always pre-bent. Tennis didn’t help it much either

Wow this is a great video! I frequently skip these, as I had an injury last year that gave me knee pain in all squats. Now whenever there’s a hint of pain I stopped, but with this I can try again at least! By the way - my gym has a few different steps to do these, but they have different heights. What effect might that have (on knee pain and results?)

Yes im suffering from that 😔 i stopped doing weights for 2 years. It hurts when i walk in the store and i need to get in something to hold my self and breath and take ibuprofen. when im sleeping the pain wakes me up. When i used to wear high 👠. I dont use them any more. The doctor just tells me to take tylenol but doesn't tell me why or that i could get it fix with surgery 😳.

I’ve been wondering the same 😢 she’s my favorite fitness woman and I miss her videos. Maybe she’s active in other social medias? I’m not sure because I only have KZitem. Sure do miss her videos, though. I know she’s out there being an amazing woman and mother!! Super happy for her.
