I thought the same thing.... If that was most guards in the league, that in-and-out crossover at the end would have dropped them

I don't know why but when I watch Knicks games and when Frank gets on the court I'm so happy. You can't hate this kid that's why I wish him amazing career. Like I said on twitter. His basketball IQ is on really high level, especially for 19 year old guy. Of course he has to adjust to NBA pace, athleticism but his IQ is a thing you can't learn and it's a base that you build from.
@Reecesavage-Alwayswin
7 жыл бұрын
I don't care if he only scores 5 points if he can bring defense like this and distribute the rock night in and out I'm happy with the pick everybody wants the fancy player with no defensive upside. Do you think DSJ can guard Dwade like This??? Didn't think so.
@shabazz360
7 жыл бұрын
While I see where you are coming from, the name of this game is score more points then the other team. The only position in the league where defense is equally as important as offense is the center position. Furthermore, Dennis Smith Jr is a known commodity while Frank is an unknown so it’s natural for ppl to want the known guy who can score and playmake.
@tickub
7 жыл бұрын
shabazz360 Then you don't know basketball. Warriors won by being second best in the league on offense, but top of the league in D. Saying only the center needs to defend is sacrilege to the art of defense.

Calvin Huang #Facts from what I recall they don't even have a true starting center in the starting lineup. However when you look at their team it's filled with long wingspans
@shabazz360

Calvin Huang I’m lost. I just reread my comment 6 times and couldn’t find where I said that only centers need to defend 🤷🏾♂️. I said offense is more important than defense by a mile unless you are playing the center spot. The Warriors whole defensive scheme is predicated in what they can do defensively at the center spot in their “death lineup”. Nobody would ever draft Tony Allen over Carmelo Anthony.

I think it's time to admit Phil was right about this kid. I know Dennis Smith Jr. is scoring the ball on the Mavericks, but he doesn't have the size and overall basketball IQ that Frank does. He was out there capably playing one-on-one defense against Lebron, Wade and Crowder. Dennis Smith Jr. is too small for that. His scoring will come, but it's not as necessary when KP is proving he can be the centerpiece of the team. And Frank makes great passes too. So let Spider distribute and lure guys into the web, while the other guys finish them off. That's what I'm calling him, Spider.

Knicks fans, you have a very good player here. Probably will never be an All-Star, but he is a winner, a guy who does whatever it takes to win, and that's somebody I would want on my team. I see him develop into a 15pt 5rbd 7ast guy, who will defend on the best guard on the other team every night. Floor: George Hill , Ceiling: Mike Conley

Well lets pump the breaks a little. Pippen is arguably one of the 50 greatest players of all time ! He still needs to work a lot on his game, specially on offense : 1) needs to have a more reliable shot and 2) and more important, he needs to work on his explosiveness to the basket which is mediocre !
@doublegi2880
7 жыл бұрын
pipen wasn't all that good at start either. Especially offensively. He was gaining it with age. slowly adding things to his offense game. Franks dribling now is probably better then it was pippen's when he started. If he adds such agressive attacking of the basket as pippen had, he has all the chances to become as good. But probably best game I saw from Pippen was when they played the lakers and he was full court pressing Bryiant whole game. Didn't really score much, but he completely shut down Bryant who had 13 points at really terrible shooting. Was fucking crazy lol.

I don't know how anyone can watch this kid play defense and say he isn't elite. He will be a perennial All NBA defender in the mold of Marcus Smart and Tony Allen. Anyone who doesn't see this just doesn't know what the hell they are talking about. He just needs to get as many minutes as possible on the opposing teams best back court or wing offensive player.
@Joe_Parmesan

The unfortunate thing for Ntilikina is that his defense can't transform the whole team. He reminds me of the younger Avery Bradley, who was overlooked before the Celtics acquired Isaiah Thomas and Al Horford. Frank has the talent, but he won't truly thrive until a team is built and can utilize his best attributes

10/10 video? obviously. my takeaway is that wade still has a nice cross over. if he just went right instead of switching back to the left it would've been a clear path to the rim. instead wade doubles back to the left where Frank already was due to the fake, so the recovery was easy.
