Awesome video! I just recently bought a Buck Vantage Force Pro, and it has kinda bad blade centering, but gets too stiff to use the flipper if you adjust the pivot screw enough to align it right. This might be the fix I was looking for! Thanks for the great video, as always, Jeff! :D

Next time try to find fine sandpaper about the same thickness as the washers, make Yourself washers from that and put it together with some oil. After opening about 50 times take apart, clean and put together with normal washers! Works better as You don't scratch the parts You don't need to. Nice vid.

Service announcement: Be super careful with oiling framelocks. Even the slightest amount on the lockface can make your lock stick horribly and freak you out. I suggest oiling it when its disassembled and then removing the excess. You need very little.

I have just started to collect knives, about 1 year ago, and i found this video very very helpful. yes it may seem like basic info to the seasoned collector, but it is very very handy to the beginners/intermediates. tried this with one of my knives and it really does help a whole heck of a lot. the only difference is i used rem oil instead haha, and it worked beautifully

I absolutely love the way the blade looks... I've never really been into knives that much but the way this knife looks and judging by it's (seemingly) fantastic build quality and attractive price, I might just get this and start getting into knives. Thank you for posting this video Jeff, I wouldn't've ever known the knife existed without this video.

[rant] No tip-up option for the pocket clip? It's a flipper knife ffs! When will companies learn? A tip-up clip just makes more sense for a knife with a flipper for the main opening mechanism. [/rant]

Very good tips that you give :), BTW you can polish where the detent ball meets the blade(the path of the detent ball), that would also improve the smoothness.

What about a knife that can't be taken apart? It's an older knife that's fixed with pins that can't be taken out. I've tried using silicone oil but it's still tough to open and close smoothly. The main problem is the lock back mechanism which is so tight, you either need to use both hands or pliers to get it pushed in far enough to be able to collapse the knife.

WD40 works good to get the crap out on knives you cant take apart. The ones you can take apart clean them with alcohol to remove any residue and you can get some brass washers to replace the teflon ones. I got some from a knife supply site didnt pay much for them and they work great. I use a teflon lubricant made by dupont on my knives it works great.
