Love this knife! Ordered on Labor Day and it came in on Tuesday. Two days! Is surprisingly comfortable in pocket for a large knife. I'm a lefty so I will sometimes carry it on my canvas belt so I don't have to reposition the clip. GREAT KNIFE.

I just may. I live in Nj, but spent the summers in Maine. So mine does not get use till summer. I do not like to use folders for heavy work like cutting wood on impact, but I found that it needed to be used that way many times when I did not have a fixed blade or machete with me, like going up a stream in a smaller boat. It really is a beast. I cut through 1 inch limbs in one swipe, and that is sitting in a Kyak too.

I got this a while back when first introduced to the market. I love it!!! I have many other knives all makes and prices. This one is my go to user. Still in it's original configuration. For now ;) I never had the need or want to pimping it out. Crazy for me! I'll put C.F. and Toxic Green G10 on anything! Very happy to have it I may get another. That one won't be so safe from getting pimped. Thanks for all the videos. Long time sub.

...had this knife over a year now and it is still one of the best knife purchases I have ever made and usually cannot stand CRKT. Cutlery lover also failed to mention that the disc where the LAWKS lever is also serves as an over travel stop for the lock bar. After much use the pivot screw starts backing out so Loctite is dftly recommended. I put this big bad black CRKT right up there with $300 Zero Tolerances it is that good

Thanks for the review, Jeff. I'd like to see CRKT put up some spine whack and overstrike tests to see if this knife's lock can hold up to its purpose.

Me too, it is amazing. I wish I went with the clip though, because I use it out doors mostly. The pivot of mine keeps on loosening for some reason. I think I may have accidentally got some grease on the screw, I am going to have to locktight it.

so you can buy 4 or 5 knives for the price but you can only use one of them at a time so whats the difference? your 4 or 5 might break before the one $115 knife does then where do you stand? you just spent the same amount of money and are left with one knife

I wish they made this knife in a smaller size. I thought the Hissatsu was the perfect size but didn't like the spring assist and auto-lawks. This knife has nothing but improvements, but since it's got a 4.5 inch blade I can't legally carry it and it's overkill for my day to day purposes anyhow. Great knife though, and great review.

In my opinion AUS8 is one of the PERFECT knife steels. You don't really need anything harder for any reason. AUS8 cuts stuff just like any other steel. And since it is *relatively* softer compared to other steels you can put a razor edge on it easily. I would rather sharpen a little more often or just touch up rather than have to literally buy diamond stones or other stuff just to be able to sharpen a knife if it has a crazy hard steel and the edge profile isn't already perfect.

But that contradicts your other point about not noticing the difference when using. In a pocket knife "breaking" only happens when you try and do something it's not meant for so I doubt my $30 AUS8 blade will break before your $115 blade.

A knife is not just the steel. It's important but if you're a collector it's not the end-all. That's like saying if I put out a knife that was a screw, a washer, a piece of poorly treated S30V and a piece of balsa wood you would be OK with paying 120 dollars for that. If all you see in a knife is the steel you're missing out.
