Figures look good. Love the Khurasan figs. Currently I'm using them in building a couple of 9 Year War (Louis XIV) forces.

Do you know much about the Kazakh people during this period? I met an older man from that country yesterday, he spoke little English, and I only knew the word rakhmet for "thanks". I thought of you afterwards and how you knew a bit about the people of the steppe, and you may have understood some of what he said.

@@JackSargePainting about Kazakhstan not much, they had a khanate from the 15th century until the Russians conquered them in the 19th century. They and the Uzbek khanate centered in Bukhara were ruled over by descendants of Ghengis Khan though, the Shaybanid dynasty

The red on those figures looks lovely, it has a rich dark, almost brownish tone. Could you tell me which paint brand and colour you used?

@@ZenMiniPainting after looking and thinking about it I think the red I used is just Vallejo Model Color Red which is number 70.926
