How could you ever hope to know the threat you face, when you have never walked in the dark places of the galaxy, faced war and death on such a scale? If you had traveled far enough, rather than waiting for the echo to reach you, perhaps you would have seen it for what it was. Did you not hear its call on Dantooine, Vrook, on its scarred surface and in the minds of settlers? I have endured your corruption of my other students - you shall not have this one. And you, Kavar, so close to the call of Dxun, tell me. Did you not feel what poured from the moon, what had taken place there? And Zez-Kai Ell, to hide upon Nar-Shaddaa, yet blind yourself to all that happens there. So close to understanding the Force... so close to giving it up. There is a place in the galaxy where the Dark Side of the Force runs strong. It is something of the Sith, but it was fueled by war. It corrupts all that walks on its surface, drowns them in the power of the Dark Side - it corrupts all life. And it feeds on death. Revan knew the power of such places... and the power in making them. They can be used to break the will of others... of Jedi, promising them power, and turning them to the Dark Side. Did you never wonder, how Revan corrupted so many of the Jedi, so much of the Republic, so quickly? The Mandalorian Wars were a series of massacres that masked another war, a war of conversion... culminating in a final atrocity that no Jedi could walk away from... save one. And this is what I sought to understand. How one could turn away from such power, give up the Force... and still live? But I see what happened now. It is because you were afraid.

I came to this video to be reminded why, exactly. I have loved the song since I first heard it, and I remember this overwhelming feeling of realization, but I can't for the life of me remember why this place was so important and profound. Oh well, I should probably play it again then.

I remember playing for the first time when I walked in and heard this music I was like just stand there doing nothing, just hearing those ambient and music. And I just suddenly felt...calm, like my goals were achieved and I can sleep happy. I guess after what happened there Kreia felt that as well. What a great story this game has...

God i love this soundtrack. It always reminds me of the shock that i felt the first time that i listen to what the Jedi Masters and Kreya had to say. The wound in the force... a but the soundtrack love it.

This melody is so...majestic. When I heard it for the first time, I just started crying. This melody reminds me about the time when I was Revan training to become a jedi, when Dantooine was a peacefool world with amazing Jedi Enclave and beautiful nature. I love every character from KOTOR so much and when I heard this music I stopped and just started listening and remembering... By the way, at the end of KOTOR II I had been crying for a long time. These games are masterpieces and I refuse to accept the further fate of Revan and Mitra as canon. It’s too hard for me because I spent so much time with them, I WAS THEM, and most of all I want them to be alright /sorry for my terrible english, I'm just too emotional russian girl with huge love for SW/ /just finished (again) KOTOR and KOTOR II and omg I'm dead, I have no water in my body because I cried for hours (I still do), especially because of Carth on Telos (I played as a female lightside Revan in the first game). masterpieces/

When Kreia sat down, acknowledged she was tired, and admitted she was afraid for the Exile, I desperately wanted to be able to hug her. Despite being a batty manipulative scow, despite the fact that she had been playing me from the moment she met me, I still came to care for her. She'd helped the Exile get their life back, and heal from what they'd done at Malachor. And in that moment, she was simply a worn down old woman at the end of a long and arduous journey. Even if she might've hated the very notion, Kreia was my friend, and I too would have sacrificed the galaxy to preserve her.

Im glad in this scene with the three Jedi masters, Kreia basically stood up for you against the blinded and arrogant fools known as the "Jedi." It is not who they are as a person that makes them arrogant and blinded, it is their philosophies, teachings, and principles that makes that so. Same can be said for the Sith, their whole cycle is a lust for power and an endless cycle of death. Revan was the only true force user (notice how I didn't say Jedi or Sith) that understood both ways of the force and utilized it to his advantage and basically worshiped the force, not follow old and archaic philosophies.

Which KOTOR did you prefer and why?

+Abrahham Helix That's a really tough question. I would have to say that I like them both for different reasons. KOTOR 1 definitely felt more complete to me. But KOTOR 2 had a way deeper story. Ambiance wise, I think KOTOR 1 probably had more memorable spots with more pedestrian areas and such. But KOTOR 2 had it's own special feeling. I loved how the galaxy had largely forgotten about the Jedi and didn't even realize there was a difference between them and the Sith. KOTOR 2 dealt with the more philosophical issues which I absolutely loved. Kreia asked so many questions that made me question certain morals in real life. It was a deep game lol

+H0wlrunn3r I feel the same way but It has to be KOTOR 1 for me even tho i played KOTOR 2 first. KOTOR 1 just has a better story in my opinion and Revan is just too badass

Kotor 2, definitely. Now, despite me liking kotor 1's HK-47 better than Kotor 2, I like the overall plot of kotor 2 much more than the first game. Reasons: Its not the normal, jedi=good, sith=bad. Yes, there are those moments in kotor 2, such as Nihilius's health drain (where everything around him slowly dies and him pretty much massacring planets), but its not as obvious as it is in the first game. Sure, there are still 2 distinct paths, you can save the jedi knights, and encourage your party to start a new jedi order, which is light side, or kill the jedi, and encourage your party to start a sith order which is dark side, by the whole philosophy is questioned.

My first playthrough. The state of the temple never bothered me. I would have given the Disciple a weed wacker. What crushed me was the faithlessness of the Jedi Masters. I hated Kreia, I wanted her off my ship because I understood the game she was playing. I understood from the way she communicated with Atris, the way she manipulated Brianna and Atton. Even if I understood her perspective, I never was going to see the Force her way. But she saved the Exile from a trio of faithless Jedi Masters who failed to see the necessity of overcoming their fear of the Exile. Once I realized what was about to happen I wanted my character to scream, "Dantoonine is a place of lies! The Council here once wiped Revan's mind and unleashed something even worse in the galaxy! If you don't want to rebuild the Order go back into hiding! I'll finish what you lacked the strength to complete!"
