I have that knipex set at work and I can say you got the best that’s out there (in my opinion). Good review

Thanks for the video. Initially I bought the same set... Amazon delivered it to the wrong place so I was refunded, I then purchased the 4 piece version of this tool... in the last 2 years of owning it I’ve found that I honestly have no need for the 90 degree ones and the 45 degree - so keep that in mind and consider saving some money. Also - get this set too knipex 4911A3 9”External (lots of applications, Ford vacuum hubs come to mind). Between these 5 I can easily do any snap ring I have come across. They are hands down the best snap ring pliers I have ever used.

+Dansyoung I'll defiantly look at that 9" set. That was the one thing that I noticed as everything in the set was on the small side. Had a few applications something bigger isa little nicer to work with. The straight prongs are defiantly my go to style but I remember my Mini's the offset were a must so they will get a little use. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching. Really enjoy getting everyone's input and heading their stories of what works and doesn't work.

The 9” are also perfect for dodge/ram 2500/3500 lower ball joint snap rings.

I just bought a cheap set from Princess Auto to replace the crappy multi head one I've been using for years. These look a lot nicer lol. Knipex makes some good stuff and not ridiculously expensive either. Thanks for the video.

+Bruce L. I've really been impressed with them so far. Dylan just showed me a place they were on sale and blew Amazon's priceout of the water on them. Now only to remember the site lol

+Harvey Smith that's the problem ordering online ad you don't always get a good feel for the size of product being sent. I just had our in my mind that the set I ordered had the larger ones in it was all.

Thanks for the review Adam. Nice sync on the upload with Dylan. 👍😎 Is the set from the truck or did you buy them elsewhere? Disregard...Amazon. 👍

When I asked my Snap on guy what non-Snap on stuff he sells after seeing a few non-Snap on items on the truck, he gave me the supplemental products catalog and said I can order anything in the catalog. This set, along with a bunch of other knipex products, happens to be in it.

That set has been on my wishlist for a long time. I don't know what the deal is though, I've maybe touched a snap ring once in the last year. It's weird. Now that I said something i'll probably have to do a bunch on the next job!

+The HD Perspective I was in that same boat and put them off for years but that last job after I broke what I had my hands was forced. What sold me was Knipex quality and really what you got for the price. You compared them to the Snap-on and you get more options for the price.

Adam Roelofs ya I definitely want that set. I will be picking it up at some point.

I'm having a hard time deciding between going for a set of Snap on or Knipex snap ring pliers as they are in the same price range. This review settles the matter. All the Snap on tools these days seem to be beefier - I'm guessing for cutting down on warranty claims. Knipex pliers seem to be what Snap on used to be like - smaller, finer, lighter, yet strong.

I've had that set for 2 years. They're better than most, but due to the tip design, sometimes don't fit into deeper recesses. Snap rings just suck, I guess.

+El Cheapo I agree with you about snap rings. One of those things you don't see a lot of on the German cats I typically work on but I remember seeing them lots on my Mini's. Despite spending the money on the set I wouldn't be upset if I didn't come across more snap rings. Still cheaper than sending it out and having someone else doing it.

MadeInUSA Reviews lol that’s a pretty ignorant comment. Highly doubt that just because something is made in the USA that it is better than things made in Germany.

The really bad thing snap on is and has been doing is slapping their name on foreign garbage which in turn has lost so much of my respect. I wish they would have stuck to their USA proud and not being sheisty. Oh and lets not forget, i worked with a guy who used to sell their tools and he told me that their toolboxes and scanners are marked up like jewelry, stupid markup, which in turn has led me to go elsewhere now. Cant deny tho, they do make incredible tools, your just gona pay out the yin-yang.
