So nice to know another “selfish” knitter!!! I know very few “knit-worthy” people in my life. I tell my husband he is lucky I knit socks for him.😊 they are always washable. I knit for me and have no guilt about it at all.

I knit mostly for myself too. Your spinning looks great. I have been spinning for 35 years and your beginning looks better than mine ever did. That’s a great plan for Rhinebeck. I suggest trying out as many different wheels as you can. You will find one that fits you perfectly.

Looking forward to your home decor episodes , a great idea 👏 I too bought a drop spindle about six months months ago. It’s been a fun process and I even used the inside of toilet tolls as temporary bobbins! I’ve been lucky enough to purchase a spinning wheel now 😊 my biggest advice from a ‘newbie ‘ is to try out the wheels first. Even though I did research. I ended up with a completely different one from what I intended to buy. Love your content.

great vid ty! i too mostly knit for myself because a) i’m still learning and slower b) because i want to. haha! but i like the idea of making small gifts for people here and there. cool to hear about your events role, i’m a PR girly that is interested in making a shift one of these days. i keep examining your desk setup and wanting to set up something similar! loved your studio tour video too.

as a fellow drop-spindler, I'm interested in what you find out about which spinning wheel is right for you! I tried one at WI sheep & wool festival last weekend, but there are so many choices for a big investment!

Hi Liz, I am not clear if you said you slip a stitch or slit a stitch on the end for easier sewing of your garments? Thanks!
