At first Craig’s accent threw me off but as the movie went on I couldn’t imagine him speaking any other way. It really suited the tone of the movie. And “donut” in any other accent wouldn’t have had the same effect.

Long history of such detectives in detective lit. Such behavior becomes problematic when book is translated to film, there's simply not enough time. Works much better in a tv series than 90 minute film.

Its been almost 2 weeks since I finished watching this and I can't stop rewatching it. This is my new go-to movie when anxiety creeps in again. Great casting, acting, writing, cinematography, visuals, everything is great in this movie. My bad for watching it 2 years after its release. Knowing there will be part 2 makes me excited. I commend Ryan for destroying a large industrial project and derooting a commitee environment through the Last Jedi. The dust had settled with that mess, and he moves on to shoot a fun, gorgeous cinematic masterpiece that you can take your disfunctional family to see on your Thanksgiving weekend!

It's not often you find a movie that lives up to the description the actors and the people working on it give. Totally agree with the attention to details-the little visuals of all the showpieces in the house, that knife thingy behind the chair, which I only fully noticed at the end- the background score, all the characters, the set itself-this movie is indeed brilliant!
