Very interesting and great choices Wayne. I did one of these from my collection a bit ago. I had the ZT0562 for combined light switch and push button flipper, EMPEDC Nymble for back (inline/downward) flipper, Mini Tempest for front flipper, WE Banter for thumb studs, PM3 for hole deployment, Pro-Tech Rockeye for OTS auto, Guardian Tactical Recon 035 for OTF. Thanks again! 👊 ✌️

I only own and still buy crossbar and button locks made in North America. In some ways it’s easier this way but it does cost more but so worth it. My custom shop 940 with titanium and Damasteel cost less then Bestech and WE charge for the same thing.

Very fun list! The Sokoke really pops for me off the thumb studs, but the Hogue Deka 2 just feel too low from the pivot to really snap. But I love it with Magnacut and Goat Original aluminum scales. I love the sound on the Kizer October and surprisingly to me, the Civivi Hypersonic really THUNKS when deployed. The Kizer PPY and Civivi Vision FG are the other 2 that feel great for me. My first Drop Bear arrives tomorrow with the LC200N blade... excited!

How is your Sokoke so clean still? For smoothest action it's gotta be Andre Thorburn and other SA makers. Real Steel Avangard comes 95% close to them. Both just slowly close by themselves without any need to shake or wiggle. My Assassin's Knives Argo is a guillotine, way too smooth IMO. I won't include button, axis or compression locks, since they should close smoothly, because there's no lock/detent to slow down the blade. Petrified fish 719 has incredible action for a $30 knife with a thin, slicey blade. Great dent and closing action.

@@christurnerct49 For some hand-knife-thumbhole geometry reason, the Stretch 2 is the most comfortable deployment/handling knife for my hand. Only your own hand knows what fits you the best. I have other Spydercos in similar geometries as a means to get other specific super steels, although I wish that I could get them all in the Stretch. The K390 steel is the top blue collar for Jared, Erica, Pete, and myself. So, I have 3 of the Stretch 2s in K390. The Stretch is my only EDC in my pocket, and I have the Ladybug i K390 on my keychain. I would add S90V to my list of high edge-retention steels, for the "stainless" category.

Kansept and Kizer do it best for budget knives. American blade works model 1 button lock is hands down the best button lock action. Jason Grant gripper another underrated one for being perfect in multiple deployment methods. Leg George mk3 and the zt emerson have the best thumb disk action.
