Day 3 of the Knobstone Hiking Trail took us from the southern terminus of the Tecumseh Trail all the way to Yellowwood Campground in Yellowwood State Forest. It was a very enjoyable day with low temps after the storm the previous evening, sunshine, a nice breeze, and a cold soda pop! We passed by a motel on one of the road walks and there was a pop machine out front and we had enough change to split a cold sprite. It was very refreshing! After that we completed our trek to the campsite which passes by Yellowwood Lake. That evening we camped in a spot which contrasted greatly to the spots we had camped at previously. It ended up being great though necause we recieved some trail magic in the form of Bob Evans Banana Bread which was given to us by our campsite neighbor who is a retired marine. Thanks for your service and for the bread! It was consumed with much glee. After taking a hiker trash shower in the water spicket I retired to my tent and slept till morning...despite the considerable effort put forth from a whip-per-will bird stationed outside my tent... Stay tuned for day 4!
