Great video Drew! Good trails, people, and vibes is what it's all about. Love that you hooked up the new rider with tires. Where I live you hear some people complain about all the new riders this year, but they tend to forget that we were all new riders once. The more people that get into this sport, the more backing and trails we'll all gain.

Great to see the hometown with respect on it. Truth is, Knoxville was badass 30+ years ago. We didn’t have machine built trails or Windrock, but what we did have was incredible on rigid bikes going as fast as possible. I miss the old days at Norris, Haw Ridge (especially Haw Ridge), Walden Ridge, Lone Mtn even short rides at old Eastern State... day trips to ride Tsali, DuPont and Pisgah. I haven’t been so homesick in a long while. Cant wait to hit Baker’s Creek next trip home [/old dude]

I started mountain biking here in the 80's and never has it come close to what it is today. Like you said those grants pay dividends bringing in more people to enjoy the sport. Only thing I hate about riding in Knoxville is being the first one on the trail cleaning out all the spider webs across my face for the other riders...lol.

Haven’t been up to Knoxville yet to bike. That is going to change soon. Where around Nashville you going biking? Best trail system with TTF is down in Columbia, TN at Chickasaw Trace. It’s about 30-60 minutes from Nashville depending where you are there. In town in Percy Warner Park, short, fun, and sometimes crowded. You might ride there, just be careful of care breakins. Also check out Hamilton Creek trails for a fun local network. If you get the urge to travel a little more, head to Huntsville, AL or Chattanooga for some great riding. They are about 1-2 hours away. If you do there, or Columbia, and want to join other riders let me know.

@@TheLoamWolf if you are in Fairview, go west to Dickson and ride at Montgomery Belle State Park. Crazy spiderweb of trails of all levels and decent mileage. Mostly trail / all mountain riding. 25 minutes away. Chickasaw Trace has trail and a little enduro is 45 minutes away. Percy Warner is XC beginner riding about 20 minutes.

Really enjoying these. Thinking of relocating to a mountain bike/outdoor rec location near a medium sized city and these videos are helping. Would love your thoughts on your favorite spot (?) Probably Bend! lol
@TheLoamWolf
3 жыл бұрын
Right on man that's awesome to hear... We could be skewed because we live in Bend and have been there for a bit but, we don't love it. There are certainly some good things about it, but not sure the goods outweigh the not-so-goods. Knoxville certainly has our interest piqued... There are a lot of really cool towns, the hard part is blending summer/winter seasons (we don't like snow), jobs, entertainment, not too touristy, and challenging trails with a variety of styles of trail so we don't get bored of the same thing, and close proximity to an airport.... The fun part is the hunt. Get out and enjoy.
@jniemec
3 жыл бұрын
@@TheLoamWolf I’m guessing the winter/snow and probably the much too rapid growth are the “not so goods” of Bend. Looks like plenty of sun there. Brevard NC seems interesting but it looks like it rains there way too much lol. This subject could be good fodder for a video or podcast of some sort for you guys one day. Carry on and looking forward to your 2021 EMTB comparo!

How is your Delano holding up on everything you are riding? torn between a La Sal and Delano. Currently have a Cascade Peak and interested in your reviews!
@TheLoamWolf
3 жыл бұрын
Hey Andrew, We are getting close to dropping our long term review actually about 10-14 days away. BUT, we are still liking it quite a bit. It does do better on more trail-bike terrain than a La Sal would but can feel a touch overwhelmed on bigger/chunkier and faster hitting terrain. If you regularly ride bigger stuff, La Sall could be way to go, if you like a light, lively and active ride Delano is sick. BUT, if you can wait a little bit we may be able to share some info about a hop up to the Delano which could bridge the gap even better and make it a touch more capable...
