When I was a Kid I actually had one of the Original Takara Microchange Brownings which is bought from a local Toy Shop in the town where I lived as a kid in the mid 80's and to me it was my G1 Megatron and I still think that the Browning makes a far better looking robot than the G1 Megatron mold, anyway my original Browning was one of my "Old Gang" figures that I had as a kid but I got rid of my original TF toys back in the early 90's before our family relocated to another town some 20 odd miles away... and I did not get back into collecting Transformers until 2014 and some time later I managed to buy a Kingdam KO Browning from Graham the Collector75 of all people and it sadly wasn't as mint or complete as yours, the arms had been mis-assembled back to front and the firing mechanism didn't work but I managed to fix it and I reviewed my example some years ago but to me it represents a replacement for one of the toys I had as a kid and that makes it priceless to me 😊

Hey brother. It’s great to hear from you. Yes, I distinctly remember watching your review and you referring to it as one of the “old gang” of figures you had as a kid. I guess the look at my official figures towards the end of the video must have really brought back memories for you. Did you have the version with red or blue plastic parts? @@TransformersAndVideoGames yeah my original Takara Browning was the one with the Red plastic which was good for me at the time as it matched G1 Megatrons colours in the Marvel G1 Comics I was reading at the time, so when I went looking for my replacement I wanted the one with the Red plastic not the Blue which was original to the master force version of the toy

Hi Bert. Thanks for checking out the review and for sharing your fun childhood memory. That’s awesome that you had 2 of them. I remember a guy at school had this figure and I thought it was super cool...but like you, I also thought that it was a simplified KO Megatron. If you’re looking for a great reissue of this figure, one was released a number of years ago simply called “M-1910 Browning”. It came in a generic brown box with no picture of the alt mode anywhere on the outside so that there would be no issue with international shipping (or Customs). Nice review, never saw this robot before. Needless to say, I'd be very surprised if Hasbro or some other company made another robot that transformed into a gun, not anymore! The closest transforming gun I have is the Classic Megatron that transforms into a Nerf looking gun from a few years back, so it's a toy gun that looks nothing like a real one. I wonder all those years ago, when someone decided: "Hey, let's create a robot that transforms into a gun, that would be cool!", what were they thinking? I'm sure at some point, Megatron could have easily been a tank instead of a gun, I wonder who made that decision to make it into a gun, that's the question...
@TransformersAndVideoGames

Thanks brother. I agree with you. The only companies that would make gun transformers at this point would be Takara for their Japanese adult collector market only (or for us by way of import only) or 3rd party companies that may not have the same sense of obligation or even the same legal requirements when it comes to toy gun requirements, etc. I suppose it was a different time when G1 Megatron hit the market.
