Yeah that’s what separates him from Kobe too. Kobe is all that athletic, hardworking and full of heart, but is also the smartest basketball player on the court most of the time because he is obsessed. I feel Russ relied on his athleticism and energy too much to cover up his lack of attention to details, and it’s showing more and more now as he gets older.

Its the truth. All he needs to do is be more disciplined. If he wouldn't be so head strong and would listen to the things that were said about him, I could only imagine what he'd have done career wise. But hey, the man averaged a triple double for a season. Stat padding or not, that isn't easy to do. But he definitely had so much more potential.
