true, I'm very aware of that most people struggle to get thru 36 exposures. This is why I encourage this camera to be used in groups! (unless you're a trigger happy photo nerd)

@@whoschrischu it can took a long time to expose a hole Film. On Holidays it is no problem to do it. But on normal days it will be a hard to shoot 72 Picture. Kodak should release shorter films with 12 conventional pictures or 24 half frame ones. In the 80th and 90th 12 picture films were available.
@bluebaconjake405

I think you use this camera differently tho by shooting a scene twice for more “context”. For example, you could take a picture of someone’s outfit on the first frame, then focus on their shoes on the second shot. Or maybe you coud take a picture of a building from 2 different angles. Basically what they did in the video cause it makes sense to use it that way

Fun overview of the camera and the accompanying shots were very good. Even the slightly blurry/overexposed ones. Price sounds pretty reasonable, I think I will look into getting one. I will say that being able to buy this eliminates quite a lot of worry since it is new and is much more likely to actually work. Unlike buying some used camera with its undetermined functionality. Currently I am using an AGAT 18k for my 1/2 frame photos. That one is tiny, has a bit of exposure and focus control. But it always feels like it's grinding itself to pieces every time I use it. Just found your channel, have watched a couple of your videos so far and am now subscribed. You share good info and seem to have a great outlook on photography. Thanks!

I see these things all over the place here! Tokyo is a great market for these and I can't wait to see more people abroad enjoying them. I'm hesitant to pick one up because of the 1/100 sec shutter speed. ISO? Regardless, I opted for the Olympus PEN EL from 1961 (practically mint) for $50. 1/200 and 1/40 WITH adjustable ISO. It's much sturdier, and even though people indicate they are fragile, the thing seems to be built like a tank. 1/2-frame awesomeness. Pick one up. There are many models with varying aperture settings. You won't be sorry. Great vid.

It seems like if its slightly too bright or too dim, the camera struggles- there seems to be a very small 'sweet spot' where you can get an image that's not overexposed or an image that's not blurry. that said the images that did come out looked awesome
@mfbfreak
Жыл бұрын
Pictures will not become blurry in the dark because it is a single fixed shutter speed. At 1/100s it's very easy to not get movement blur in the pictures. With regards to the sweet spot - you have to choose your film appropriately. But also, modern film has a very big exposure latitude. If you shove 400 iso film in it, even if you overexpose 3 stops, the film will handle it. It will just require a scanner that's able to deal with the very dense negative - but the film can do it. Put in Delta or Tmax 3200 if you wanna use it on cloudy winter days. Put in some 100 iso whatever in it, on bright sunny summer days.
