Thanks again for the meet-up, it was a fun way to shake-out before the marathon on Sunday. The marathon itself went really well for me, set a new PR and finally got under 4 hours. Now I just need to start hitting the hills to get ready for Austin next year, hope to see you there.

@slodogg here. Great way to start our day with everyone, thanks for hosting the run! I ran the half on a whim in 1:47:30 Just a slower fun run as I’ve only been back on my legs for 2 weeks after 3.5 months off due to injury. I have unfinished business with the full from last year so I’ll be back in 2021 to take care of that. Hope to see you all again!

Hi. I'd like some advice on a new long run shoe (suggestions from anyone are welcome). I have been using the Hoka Rincon for a couple runs now and I think I would like something with better durability but a similar ride, however I would very much like a higher drop for my longer runs since I have gotten a bit of achilles issues from my previous Challenger ATR 5s with their 5 mm drop. Currently I'm looking at the NB 1080 V10 and mainly wondering how its cushion compares to that of the Rincon. Edit: Now I'm instead looking at the New Balance FuelCell Propel and mainly wondering if it has any lateral support similar to that of the Rebel. As an overpronator having to use custom orthopaedic insoles, any lateral support is the last thing I want.
@jamesvos3085
4 жыл бұрын
They aren't AS cushioned as the Rincon, but the 10mm drop in the Adidas Solarboost + the stability and durability of the shoe has really been good for me. The outsole is the trademark Adidas continental rubber and I personally love it at 100+ miles now.

If you stay in Hoka line up, the Clifton 6 would be the best option.
@O1sson
4 жыл бұрын
@@AJ-bp9th I know but I kinda want to move out of it due to the lower drop. However I haven't found any options elsewhere that would suit my preferences and needs so I do have a pretty sweet deal on a pair of Clifton 6 in sight.
