Yeah super simple to instal. The hardest bit is to get the air con unit to fit into the frame which may require an extra set of hands to help hold the weight while you push it into position so it locks into the frame top and bottom. You might find you have to use a little force to get it to lift over the bottom clips and then seat it into the frame.

Hi yes, we have 2 units for our back bedrooms. We've been running them for about 6-8 months now. The evenings are now starting to stay warm overnight here on the Gold Coast (Mid November), and the units are now running all night. They are very quiet and dont disturb your sleep. I am in my backroom as I am typing this, and the unit has dropped the temp in this room from 27 deg C to 24 deg C in about 15 min. It does have a timer function (Havent used it though). Its not a timer to turn on the unit at a specific time, its a timer to run the unit for a certain amount of time before it will switch off. Overall we are extremely happy with the units and we have just ordered a 3rd unit for another bedroom. Cheers Adam

Great review. Having its own frame, does that allow you to open the sliding window for fresh air still?
@AdamBoltGoldCoast
2 жыл бұрын
Yes. Depending on the width of your window will determine how much you can leave your window open. The frame is around 45cm, and my window is around 70cm, so I can leave my window open about 25cm during the day to ventilate the room. If it’s raining I can close the window and it fits behind a rubber sleeve in the frame to prevent water coming in.

Thanks so much for your video. Does this mean that the unit can’t be used if it’s raining if you shut the window? Did you have to cut the screen to put the unit in?

@@shazdibbs The sliding window just pushes in behind the edge of the rubber seal which is found along both sides of of the frame. These rubber seal stops any water coming in while it is raining, which allows you to leave the back of the unit open so it can be used even if it is raining. The unit sits in the frame of the window in front of our security screen and the mesh in the security screen, so you don’t need to do any removal or cutting of this at all. No 220-240v, 50hz only (you need an Australian plug and at least a 2000W Step Up Transformer converter from your 120v US to 240 volts for the unit)
@rodneytapit5636
Ай бұрын
It runs on 240V and uses Australian plug so you would need an adapter. In the United States and Canada, the electrical power supplied to most homes is a split-phase system. That power enters your home at about 240 volts. This 240 volts is split at the main circuit breaker panel into two 120 volt halves, called phases. Make sure you can use 240V.

@AdamBoltGoldCoast
2 жыл бұрын
I'd say it would be a real struggle to fit it in as you have the cord coming off one side, and if your window frame is only 43cm wide, then you will need to cut away at least 3-4cm from somewhere as the widest part of the frame that the air con sits in is 45cm, and you need to allow at least 1-2cm of extra room for the cord to bend down to fit inside your window frame. Its hard for me to say if you could McGiver it to fit in as I'm no handyman, so I can't answer that question for you sorry.
