Kola Adesina is one of the termites that's eating Nigeria dry. You do not have to be politician to corrupt. All you need is to be in the system that is already corrupt and work tirelessly not to make the system work for common man! Thus kola Adesina is part of the system and part of the problem we have in Nigeria!

The Ikeja Disco boss was so explicit in his explanation of the challenges the investor is facing in the NESI. Any business man would do the same thing in his shoes. 3 yes on, not much has changed, sadly. Trust Reuben to bring the discussion to politics being a political expert himself

To be sincere with Nigerians , electric is business of buying and selling process and truth is that we need to agree with increase in tariff or government or industries should trip to bridge the gap. Also will need serious firm law to punish the electric thieves, apart from these no investors can put their money

Fixed/standing charge in Nigerians' electricity bills was a fraud. In other countries where prepayment meters are used, there is no fixed charge. It is pay as you use. If it must be implemented, it should be built into usage. The situation back then was that customers would receive / pay fixed charges with many time zero supply of electricity.

Why is your business forex denominated though? Other than investing in equipment and spares, what else - salaries? Is that a good idea? You should be looking seriously into near pure local content. Not a convincing argument. If in your case you borrowed money from foreign banks, I don't think Nigerians should be the ones to pay for that decision?

I was tempted to turn off once the guest began his discussion with a fiction -- the biblical creation story. Nigerians are not serious people because they can't differentiate fiction (the stories of the bible and Koran, which were concocted to contain humanity's capacity for extremism, even of evil) from reality. That a man holding a position of responsibility (Kola Adeshina) was invited to discuss a matter as important as electricity poverty in Nigeria, and he starts his message with invoking the fiction of the creation of the world, shows that he is not only incompetent but he is also the problem with Nigeria. I watched this program up to 15:05 and he never made a single sense -- he drew stupid comparisons of prize changes in the cost of newspapers with that of a electricity, a commodity that is never left to market forces all over the industrialized world for fear of denying it to the poor. With people like this man in positions of responsibility, Nigeria is not going anywhere.
