no the d9 is smaller. we used to have a 355 on our farm for pushing up damns and shit. i believe a d9 is somewhere between 45- 50 tonnes while our 355 came in at around 62- 65 tonnes.

Komatsu does make engines, but for some reason they don't put their own engines in the larger equipment.

I assume the Komatsu D355 is about equal to CAT's D9 in terms of weight and power?

Komatsu 355... Heyy, isn't this the Martin Heermeyer-type dozer? One embittered man, he souped up his 355 and went on a dozing rampage in June 2004 in Colorado, US??

This D355 is 410hp and weighs about 110,000lbs

YA Your right on the most dangerous thing youl do part! Steel on steel is not good! As for the guy who says that Komatsu needs to move the sprocket / bull gear,Cats brand new STATE OF THE ART D7E electric drive dozer has the LOW MOUNT SPROCKET design......................

лажа какая-то. ну Комацу, ну заехал на трал... и что? вы бы видели как люди в болоте ковыряются на них ... вот там весело... жаль, что у меня не сохранилось видео, что творят на них... даж на перегонги гоняли... и за водкой за 20 километров ездили.. :)
