1)Bored of Seoul??? There are SO MANY fine eating places as well as street food areas, thankfully 'big money' hasn't sanitised the street food stalls. I do like meeting foreigners every day in my current job, think I'd need to have something like 'Seoul guided tours' or an 'European cafe experience' shop to keep me happy if I moved there... around Konkuk or similar is where I'd like to be based.2) 'A family?'...Filipi2os are the most annoying asking "WHY HAVE YOU NO CHILDREN??" I just tell them equally rudely it's none of their business!😡😡 😂😂 3) 'Cousin Kim' up North, does anyone worry about him, or is he just considered a bit mad..?

I currently work in a kindergarten in a very remote area of Korea. We have just started our new school year, and surprisingly, we have a lot of kids. They opened two extra classes due to the demand, and there’s even a waiting list. I’m always surprised by the news, but when I see how many kids we have starting from age 4, I get kind of confused.

This is so interesting! There have been so many schools closing down these days across the country. Maybe they ended up closing other schools in other areas, and the students from the closed schools ended up at the school you currently teach at? Great news about Beemo. My most recent cat was diagnosed with a tumour in her stomach which was supposedly incurable. It disappeared and she happily lasted several more years. I'm half of a DINK couple and we were fairly firm with our families about it without being rude and no one really bugs us about it anymore. I kept waiting to want to have kids and it never happened. I love my nephew so much and I'm going home for the birth of my niece in a month and so excited! I am definitely meant to be a cool aunt, not a mom. I'm so happy to hear that Beemo's tumor is benign--fingers crossed that it continues to shrink! So much love to you three!

That’s great to hear no one bugs you about it anymore! Kyuho feels the exact same way about his niece and nephew-he’s ’uncle Kyu, the cool uncle’. He loves them to pieces, runs around and plays with them when he visits-then immediately passes out from exhaustion when he gets home 😂 It’s definitely not something either of us could handle 24/7, but being the cool aunt and uncle and going back to our quiet apartment ar the end of the day is perfect for us.

I think being bored is relative. It's what you make of your time. So if you choose to be bored, ok then, that's on you. But you don't have to be bored. Kiddo keeps me busy, but I have hobbies outside of that that sometimes I get to do when I don't have parenting duties lol. When we went to Hawaii a few years ago, we wanted to swim with manta rays. That was a tour you could do. We totally wanted to do that, but because wifey was preggo, it probably wasn't a good idea. Just an excuse to go back and do it in the future when the kiddo gets older lol. But just reminded me that it's kinda similar to your whale shark experience you'd like to try.

When I lived in Korea (2015-2020), going and doing things alone beyond the gym or whatnot was unheard of, and honestly I missed out on doing a lot of things because I was too scared to do them alone because I never saw anyone except maybe older men doing things alone, and once I went to a small diner by myself for a quick dinner and the ajumma's that worked there were either weirded out or felt sorry for me. And that makes me sad. The few times I visited Japan it seemed like a more feasible thing, but not in Korea.

I think a Vessi store has opened somewhere in the GTA, although I live 4+ish hours away (Windsor) and only go to Toronto once a year or every few years for just the day, but if I were to invest in a pair of Vessis shoes, I don't know if their shoes are good for someone with wide, flat feet, and feet that go inwards when they walk (I'm one of those people). I hope Beemo gets better and gets to enjoy more time playing with you guys and with his kitty toys (I wish we had a vet like yours for when our dog Snickers (he had glaucoma, heart murmur, and kidney failure) was still with us this time last year in his final days before the Rainbow Bridge).

We’d love to see the stores in person! In our opinion, Vessi’s ‘Everyday shoes’ are great for wider feet-but since neither of us have flat feet that go inward, we can’t speak on that. Kyuho felt respected by his mom for his decision not to have kids, was partly because his mom is well educated (she has a PHD). Most of our parents are NOT educated, they are Stubborn and controlling, always think their values are correct and enforcing onto the younger generation, therefore they dis-respected Us. As a result, many of my peers and myself left home, stayed single or childless and we loving our freedom of choice :)

That's good news about Beemo. He's a fighter. I enjoyed this Video. There is a Vessi Store here in Toronto at Yorkdale Mall. I am tempted.

We’re hoping this dude will stick around with us for a good while yet 😽 Ohhh, that’s right! So jealous that you have a physical Vessi store near you!

If you guys do the low brith rate video maybe add Kyuho's sister perspective on how she is dealing with the lack resources for parents with children. Just an idea!!

I love the housing topic... ever consider moving (an hour's journey) outside of Seoul so it can be more affordable to buy an apartment/ or a house? Is that an option at all? (You gotten hijacked by ❤ whilst in SK 🤣)

Nope 😅 We love the accessibility, convenience, and endless options of Seoul. But even if we were just hour out, we likely couldn’t afford to buy a place. We’d have to move somewhere wayyyy out there.

DINK = dual income, no kids. I was not familiar with that acronym. 😅 My thoughts on the low birth rate is that it’s just inevitable. There’s a limited amount of resources and space for people to live, not just in Korea, but worldwide. Technology will be a huge factor to being able to stabilize any severe collapse. But, for now the symptoms of high cost of living, high housing prices, etc are going to further deter the current young generation from wanting kids. It’s the sign of overpopulation pushing against the limits of land and resources.

You could also try Spain...Costa Brava in Catalonia or the Cantabric Sea in Basque Country, or a Traditional House in the countryside in Navarre....as good as Itlaly or France.

I love your channel so much it’s so relaxing entertaining and informative but I have to say the microphones take away the easy comfortable flow of your segments and almost make me feel nervous . Just my opinion I prefer more down to earth making it look more effortless and normal

Oh gosh, there’s no way we could have even made this video without mics 😅 All the noise from the wind, traffic, and especially the loud music playing inside the restaurants and cafes (we’d get copyright strikes). Mics are very necessary in an outdoor environment when we’re talking a lot.

Does anyone ever touch, move or take your camera when it’s set up further away from where you’re sitting? I think I’d be curious if there was a camera with no one next to it. Keep it up! Look forward to your videos and I feel like we’re friends.

Never! People usually don’t don’t other people’s stuff here, from our experience :) Thanks so much for watching ☺️
