I highly recommend traveling solo! As a true introvert, even traveling with people I love wears me out. I have done many road trips by myself, some of which were to kpop concerts that I attended alone. I get to do whatever I want whenever I want. It’s really nice!

I'd love traveling solo! But unfortunately I'm always afraid that, if something happens (like jetting sick or injuried) I won't know what to do alone 😢 Especially if in a foreign country, and taking into account that English is not my first language.

If i may ask you a question, how do you manage the language barrier?
@erirabbit7

@@thegoldenmaknae I've done solo travel before, and honestly, in many places people learn English as a second language, so it's not very difficult. When I do meet people who don't speak English or if there's a sign I don't understand, google translate works well! There are even apps that can translate text from photos so you can take a picture of a sign if you don't understand. If I don't use google translate, usually doing some awkward charades does the trick lol. It's surprisingly not as difficult or scary as it seems, and most people are very kind and understanding! (also I like ur username 💜)

Amanda, you are so brave, thank you for sharing this with us. ❤ I’ve been through something similar so something to keep in mind is that when we are experiencing female issues our hormones are so out of wack and that in itself can lead to depression. I'm a little late to watching this vid but I just wanted to say thank you for touching on the stress of language barriers with food allergies as this is also part of the reason why I don't travel as the amount of trace is so severe for me. We're around the same age and actually have the same birthday AND what we're allergic to are very similar so it's always nice knowing someone else is going through the same thing as you

I've only really done it once (5 days in Rome) but it was so much fun! It really makes you discover yourself and it's great to just decide on a whim what you wanna do that day. I wish I could do it again, but I'm now a mama (1 toddler and another on the way ^^) so I don't think it will happen for quite some time. But you go and enjoy all the travel you want to do!

Hi Amanda! Loved your vlog, it made me travel along with you thank you so much. I do have a question about solo travelling though.. I would like to go to South Korea just like you but I am scared of solo travelling especially in a country I can't speak the language. I think other than touristic spots I feel like it's gonna be so challenging to find restaurants and do some activities or ask for directions. And on top of that, I am such an introverted person so I can't find the strength to make a move and do it. If you have any advice, I am taking it ! Keep up the good work, you're doing just fine.

definitely try not to walk alone at night, look up information about the areas you’re going to, research info about emergency numbers, and carry self defense items on you!! planning ahead is always good :) but also, i really think as long as you’re mindful of you’re surroundings and respectful, you shouldn’t have any problems!
