He's not ignorant. I just got back from Korea last year. Dog meat is still common and popular in Korea, especially with middle-aged and older men. A lot of young ladies will even take their little yorkies and shi tzus to 보신탕 restaurants with them. It seems to be particularly popular in Jeolla-do. You can find 보신탕 restaurants all over the place there. But you also still find them throughout cities like Seoul and Busan.

actually i think some koreans drink a lot... really depends on the individual like here in the states... :) but they do definitely have a culture of drinking like the irish ~ and tend to get loud and sing etc. when they drink :) it's a very social thing.

lol ikr...I eat everything that is accepted in that country. So in Australia of course I cannot eat dog but in Korea when I do eat dog its just once per visit. I think thoughs who complain and tongue wage are usually extremist vegan or vegetarian or just hypocrites.....

Sadly, I think that dog meat is still pretty widely eaten even among younger people. You're probably right that many younger people in cities don't eat it, but all bets are off as you go into the country side. I was surprised at how many 보신탕 places I saw out in the open the last time I was there. There's one right in the heart of Myeongdong in an alley.

Easy one , the things that they eat are healthy. Don't you agree after watching this video that there is alot of healthy foods on the table? I don't see hamburgers or fries and deep fried stuff. Just a way of what 'they' are used to eat , or what 'they' and even you choose to eat every day.

@tommyakadiamond: Nope, only a minority do, and that only occasionally. On the other hand, some Americans like to hunt and eat squirrels; and some Japanese people like to eat live frog sushi (check out KZitem videos on both!). So do you also say "Americans love to eat squirrels" and "Japanese love to eat live frogs", just because some of them do?

This whole debate of eating dog is nonsense. This is a matter of cultural difference point-blank. Whether people in Asia or other countries eat dog due to circumstance or preference it doesn't really matter to me, but what bothers me most is the offensive approach people have when sharing their views about it. You can always walk away from the table without offending someone, if its not for you keep to yourself or grow a pair and educate yourself why someone would eat a dog.

One comment says how is one ignorant if they have seen the markets themselves? Or something along those lines. For you to be asking that question you clearly do not know what the would ignorant means. For one to be ignorant they simply lack acceptance of something and choose to deny it no matter what. All because you have been exposed to the knowledge does not mean you can accept it or choose to.
