yeah or ippon seio. I guess the reason it would work is because he is constantly rotating in the direction opposite to his collarhand, away from a potential turnthrow.

In a competitive situation, once the threat has been controlled, and the sleeve pinned, he would utilise the dominant grip to move his opponent and attack, and would get shido if not, you are absolutely right! The purpose of the video is to demonstrate how to deal with a high right hand, so we have provided several examples of how to do this effectively ;)
