This is absolutely the best Monologue tutorial out there. I've had this synth for 18 months yet this has enabled my to get so much more from it. Great work. Subbed.

Cheers Mark, This was my first machine and still love it. Hope you got the patches too. Also i did another video on bass sounds and other percussive sounds you can make too.

i've had the monologue for almost two years and the thing i use it for the most is percussion. taking the basics you showed you can get really creative when you start experimenting with ring modulation, BPM-synced LFOs and vco levels. good video.

I got one of this "broken" for 100€. All I had to do was change the volume pot. Haven't used it a lot but I've been getting into it lately, using it with my mpc to make some hard synthwavy stuff. It's nice to see people showing some love to this awesome small synth. Gotta give this a try.

Good on you giving that monologue some TLC. Big on repairing instead of buying. Hope you have some fun making some beats.

What an interesting .................... Question this is ! This fine vid gave me the necessary kick ( see what I did there ! ? ) up the arse to get the Monologue pulling its weight. But it's a case of " please sir, I want some more " . So try this : - I apologise for not thoroughly checking if you've covered this, or looking for some online whatever they are called, where it's all been sorted a million years ago - I follow my instincts a lot ...... In order to make use of the Monologue as a proper sequencer I have used OpenMPT. That was just notes, of course. Has anybody written a drumbox program of any description which will enable me to use the Monologue as in this vid, but with unlimited length sequences ? I mean, I assume I could do it just using OpenMPT if i wasn't so old ...................... p.s. If you want proof that you got me drumming on the KM, try PIPEHEAD - THE PAINO ( note the spelling ! ) .

Great tutorial - really clear to follow. Wonder if can help: I followed every step but can't seem to make second high hat sound be heard!? The motion seq window shows VCO2 mix tweak on 2nd position but not hearing it - just first. I can hear it if play with EG decay but then Iose the kick sound. Scratching head; can't think what I'm missing!?
