This night food market is the most popular among both local residents and tourists although there are a few other pasar malam (night markets) in Sabah’s Kota Kinabalu, mainly clustered along the city seafront.

This Waterfront Seafood Night Market or locally called as "Pasar Malam Makanan Laut" is in a parking lot between the KK Central Market and the Marlin Statue. In the stall front is the wet market, where diners pick their desired seafood before passing them to the backend chefs to prepare and cook the meal based on your requested style and taste.
Prices are negotiable and based on weight and sizes and the vendors here mainly accept cash only. If unsure about the price, see what the locals are paying or just check out a few other stalls before deciding which stall to pick. This Pasar Malam Makanan Laut opens around 4:30pm and is in full swing by 7:00pm. As usual, the parking will be an issue after 6pm. Therefore, go there early if you could.
