Ingredients:
Rice (cooked and mashed) -1/2 cup
Grated Dark jaggery - ¾ cup
Cardamon powder - ¼ tsp
Ghee - 1 tsp
Cashew nuts - 10
Raisins or kismis - little
Method:
1. COOK RICE TO A SOFT CREAMY CONSISTENCY.
2. Heat a heavy vessel with jaggery and water.
3. Boil for the jaggery to dissolve.
4. Strain through a mesh stainer.
5. wash the kadai, pour back jaggery and boil till it reaches soft
ball consistency. (Take out little before)
6.Add cooked rice, cook for few minutes.
7.Heat ghee separately, fry cashewnuts, kismis and cardamon
powder and pour over pongal.
