+M. Woofington There was some knucklehead magazine that was making it seem if a video like this says they're just faking it through the whole night and not doing really anything, which that notion is straight GARBAGE!! How would those folks who wrote that stuff like 2 carry Im sure probably at least 1 or 2 tons of analog equipment and props for 30 years??!! I say Ralf and the guys got SMART!!, and gave a good show with slick enough visuals knowing how 2 manipulate their catalog of tracks live and still get paid!!.... Now that's not a bad way at all 2 stick around!! Hope the fellas don't wait another 10 to 15 years before coming back 2 Detroit.....

I've defended this type of music repeatedly to guitar players (I play guitar). I actually think its a lot harder to master a synth than guitar. Anybody can play guitar passably, if not well. Synths/sequencers are so much more involved and require a totally different mental approach.

First and foremost THE Kraftwerk still remain one of my all time favourite groups - forever staying engraved in my heart and ears just like they're forever staying engraved in the hearts and ears of many others... Imagine a permanent audio-tattoo and you're there. However - while it's not about the "playback" aspect of them "not doing anything onstage", the very sad fact remains this is NOT Kraftwerk but a tired shadow of their former selves, that is flogging a dead horse for years. Even if they record an album's worth of something remotely "now", it'll probably not sound any different.
