Well, Kraftwerk themselves have state that they thought the album was "pure shit" I believe... Critics tend to agree, look the album up on Wiki and you'll see a paragraph about it. Sadly few Kraftwerk interviews can be found online but I would recommend reading some of the books published about Kraftwerk. It's was around about this time that Kraftwerk started to break up as they became more interested in cycling, Hütter even suffered a serious bicycling accident during the recording of EC.

I work at a local school in San Leandro, CA and there's an Art Teacher who plays Kraftwerk for his kids while they paint and draw. The other day I was in the hallway right outside their classroom and there he was, playing Kraftwerk again! All of a sudden, there was this long line of kids coming through the hallway, and I guessed they really liked Kraftwerk's music as well, for the entire line of kids was humming to the music! I was thinking, "Just how cool do you have to be to go to this school!! I wish I had been introduced to Kraftwerk at MY elementary school !!!"
