Yes, it's pronounced "Vavel Castle", and the salt mine is pronounced "Veelichka". I will be back in "Krakuf" again for my 22nd visit on June 12th, I can't wait to see my Polish "family" again! Kocham Polska ❤️

Nr 3 ......there is no such castle in Krakòw..... Letter W = V.... After Kościuszko died in 1817 ( he was Americn hero too - his bust is in US Senat) his remains were carried to Kraków and were buried in 1819 among the kings’ tombs in the Wawel cathedral. The people, reviving an ancient custom, raised a huge mound to his memory near the city. Nr 10 Wieliczka salt mine....name disfugured beyond recognition ...

Is it possible to visit Auschwitz without a tour guide. I mean just turn up and tour the place on your own?

Where is “Krakuv” or “Krakuf” ?! There is a city in Poland called KRAKOV ! The letter “V” doesn’t exist in the Poland alphabet, so “W” is pronounced as “V” This was a painful video to listen to !

No, it does not, go look it up ! In Polish, “W” is pronounced as a “V” “Ł” is pronounced as a “W” The letters Q and X do not appear in the Polish alphabet either en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polish_alphabet

@@jeffpovey1182 Check it yourself. We are not talking about pronunciation, we are talking about the occurrence of letters in the Polish alphabet - q, v, x.

Delightful video! Thanks to the author of the channel for this fascinating video! It is interesting to see how people live in other countries! It is very important to know foreign languages on such trips. I would like to recommend to all travelers a practical guide to learning foreign languages by Yuriy Ivantsiv "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages". This book contains a lot of useful tips on how to learn a foreign language for tourists, students, entrepreneurs and anyone who needs a foreign language in life. There are a lot of good tips on how to solve problems with the language from beginner to advanced level of language learning. It turns out that the traveler only needs to know a few dialogues and you can easily travel around the world! You don't have to spend a lot of time to fully learn a foreign language, you just need to learn what you can use when you travel. I wish everyone exciting travels!

Tadeusz Kosciuszko also built West Point. Yes, the one in USA, where West Point Academy is now. He chose the site and built the fort there.

I went to a bar there one day and I asked for a pint, the barmaid said " pardon" so again I asked for a pint, she says 'I do not understand', so I just asked for a glass of beer, and she said " do you want a pint?" I gave up lol. Great place to stay, and you must go to Aushwitz while you are there
